Arrival Story:
When I met my now-husband, I had an Akita and he had Mr. Mac (see Soleil's siblings). Both were male, neither were neutered, and it was just not going to work. My Akita went to live out in the country, on a big lot, with a husband and stay-at-home mom. He gets lots of love, attention, and room to run, and he gets pampered and eats/sleeps in the house with his new family. My husband doesn't like big dogs, but I really missed my Akita. I decided a pom was the closest thing to a miniature Akita I would ever find (boy, was I wrong! haha). We searched and found a breeder that I liked, and fell in love with Soleil the first time we saw her! We had to wait several weeks until she was old enough to come home with us, but she's been a major part of our family ever since!

Happy birthday to me
Happy birthday to me
Happy birthday little pom......
Happy birthday to me!

Today I'm TWO! I'm such a big girl. Mom says I'm too big for my britches whatever that means. I don't even have britches!

Dogster sent me a birthday email this morning and put me on a birthday stroll. Wow - what a cool website.

If you'll excuse me now, I must return to my afternoon nap. I was remembering way-back when I was a little puppy. You know, before I was two.

A new Friend!

WooHoo!

Mom said we're getting another dog! He's a Havanese, and mom is really excited about getting him. He's all black and weighs 14 pounds, which is a really big boy for a Havanese. He's a year old and likes to run and play! Yippee! More dogs to bounce on! I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself. In fact, I'm so excited I have to go outside and potty now. Be right back.....

Much better! Whew. Anyway, mom said he's going to fly home to us next week. I've been on an airplane with mom, and she said I was really well behaved. I didn't cry or annoy the other passengers at all. I hope he's well behaved, too, cuz I don't like when my friends get in trouble.

I'm such a Princess!

Yesterday Skeeter and I took mom and dad to an outdoor art festival. It was so much fun! I wore my pink princess hat, the one with the silver tassles in the top, and Skeeter wore her pretty pink collar with the sequins on it. We were the life of the party! Everyone wanted to play with us, and we even had our picture taken lots of times. Maybe I've finally been discovered and the modeling agencies will be knocking down the door!

I sniffed lots of dogs - a Yorkie, a Dalmation, a couple of other poms, a Papillion, a Shih Tzu, and a whole bunch of fun mixed breed dogs. I was so excited that I even forgot I had my hat on! I was so well behaved that I got an extra good girl treat when we got home.

What a cool day!
