Arrival Story: I was a very tiny girl...even at 9 months old. Too small to show and had some health issues. The lady that I lived with in the beginning mentioned she had found me a forever home. At my forever home all the dogs there have come from the lady I lived with. I guess if this lady trusted my new home then I would too. I was born New Year's Day in the United States and that lady named Bubbles. My new mom named me Miss Ruby and I came to live in my forever home at 9 months of age.
Bio: I was the female promised to the first lady that had loaned her male dog as a stud. When that lady got me at 9 months she was horrified that I was only 1 pound and scrawny. She tried to fatten me and get me to eat. When my forever mom saw me...she asked the lady if she would let me go home with her. I was sick for the first few months I lived in my new home. We did all kinds of tests but really could not figure out what was wrong. At one point I was rushed to the hospital and almost did not make it. There was a cat living in our home, Lucky Kitty that had a stroke and could no longer jump. My mom had to figure out a way to block my route to the litter box but make sure the cat could get to it. Mom thought she had out smarted this runt but I figured it out and was happily chowing down on litter and poops for a couple of months. One day I brought the "kill" to the living room and mom caught me eating it. This was poison and toxic to my tiny little body and that is what had been making me ill. Once mom solved the problem I began to get healthy and put weight on. Thus the name Chubs and Butterball.
