I am pleased to announce that I have apparently inherited the talking gene from my Grandpa Lukie. Yup, it is true, Mom was pretty sure but Auntie Jeanne has confirmed it.
For those that don't know, Grampa was famous for the noises he made. Mom and Suzanne and the other Frenchie people called it "talking" and they swear they could understand everything he said.
I don't know about that... all I heard about was the people who came to the kennel and asked Mom if they had a goat in there, OR, worse yet, an old man puking. Hmm, sounds like maybe I shouldn't have inherited this gene???
Anyway, Auntie Hilda can also talk pretty good and Mom was sure hoping that mommy Lola would be a talker but it wasn't to be. I guess those of us that can talk don't usually start until we are older...I say you can't talk until you have something to talk about!!!
Great Grampie Jones thinks he can talk but Mom says it is quite a joke to hear him after hearing Grampie Lukie talk... he did whole sentences even!!!!
Mom says maybe she will record me sometimes so you all can hear what I am saying!!!
We NEEEEED a recording !!!!!!!!!!!
Flicka does a deep doggie type "purr"... does that count ??
I can't wait to hear what you have on your mind, Jethro!
I do a lot of arooo-arooOOOing. Mommy asks, "What are you talking about?" So I guess I talk, too! BOL!!
Our talking is somewhat like scratching a blackboard, sorta. We use our big mouths to form the words. Beanie does the aroooing and he is quiet by comparison.
Mom said when she took Grampie Lukie to dog shows she could hear him at the other end of the building.
NO WAY !!!!! Hurray, you inherited the Luke Noise gene....
Robin makes so noise, but it is just whining, not the Luke gravelly growling talk.... I can't believe it... I would love to hear you..... That is so funny. Merry Christmas, Jethro.... AUWH AUWIE>>>>
