It's gotten cold here in the NE corner of Missouri. Mama gets so worried about me staying outside too long! And it's a battle of wills for me to come into the house!
This month will be tons of more socialization with Mama's family hosting Christmas family events! I hope all my pup pals are staying safe from the bitter cold and snuggle up to your families for love and warmth!

Well, pup pals from the 19th to the 26th of November, my life was waaaay different!
Mama's Navy daughter came home for a week and she had not met me yet. First meeting went OK and it wasn't long before I was getting ignored and this new family member was not giving me the attention I wanted.
So, I wanted to play and got a little over-anxious and gave this family member a playful nip on her leg.
Of course, this is not my usual behavior, but I wanted to bond with this new person that is staying in "my house" and she didn't seem to understand.
So, Mama explained how my socialization is fine away from the house...it is needing more work at home. So, I got lots of socialization on "my turf" over the next week. The Navy daughter bought me a big bag of treats; she and I worked it out great by the next day.
A lot of her friends coming over to the house that was the real test; I did get kenneled a lot more than usual this past week for my safety and everyone else's. I guess I am very protective of my family and our home; to say I am cautious and wary of strangers. Mama has faith in me as I am still young and a lot more to learn!

There's something going on the house as of recent. Evidently, a member of the family I haven't met yet is coming for a week visit. It's one of Mama's daughters in the Navy and Mama is maybe concerned on how I will receive her. She's coming home after being deployed for 7 months.
Cross your fingers all goes well; I seem to be more cautious and still needing more socialization.
