Sorry pup pals, but life has been in a whirl-wind!

Since the first of 2014 big changes happened. A job/state transfer came into our lives and there was lots to do.

House showings, packing, moving, big life changes. So, in July we moved from KC Metro Missouri to River Valley Arkansas. My family seems way more happy in Arkansas; less stress.

I miss the big fenced back yard I used to have. We do have a fenced yard, Mom is waiting patiently for extra funds to repair the fence. So, for the time being, I go outside on a leash always (I have been known to be a backyard escape artist).

Lots of neighborhood dogs around; Mom keeps me safe. Our new neighbors love that I am not noisy and have complimented to Mom about how quite I am. I don't get to walk as often as I did. The sidewalks aren't as plentiful and for my safety, Mom walks me where it's safe.

Happy Thanksgiving, by the way. I enjoyed my small feast of turkey!

Time to slow down...

Mama is so glad the Christmas festivities are about over. Navy daughter left today back to her base! She has grown to love me more and we bonded even tighter this visit!
But, for some reason, I have an issue with Mama's son. I had to stay in my kennel or in a different room when he was here. Mama can't figure it out and it concerns her. I have bonded with all the family but him (and the other two older kids that haven't visited yet!!!!).
Supposedly there's another family get together in a week or so with the house having a lot of people in the house. Mama knows my socialization skills need work; she's afraid I'll be over-stimulated. Mama's plan is to move me to a quite area after I get to meet people and Mama can access my reactions to the extended family members I haven't met yet.
I sure will be glad when things get back to normal. Mama has had quite the laugh when I go outside and play in the snow. I eat the snow...does any of my pup pals do this, too?

Til next time, pup pals.....Dottie

What's all the hoopla?

Strange things going on in the home. Pretty tree in the corner of the living room with dangling objects, square objects with paper under the pretty tree? Family rushing around, acting weird?
All in all, I've been extremely well behaved and not touched any of this stuff!
The Navy girl is home on leave and I remembered her from last visit. We have bonded more this time and she is truly giving me lots of lovin now that she understand me better!
The snow has been fun and it cold outside!
Hoping Santa brings each one of my pups pals a special gift in their stocking (I'm wishing my stocking has something cool in it, too!!!!)

Merry Christmas...Dottie
