I would like to say that I have been so busy that I have not had a chance to catch up on Dogster posts but as some of you know, my FB cross posting has been monopolizing my time, that and work. There are so many animals out there that need homes, it's almost as if i say just a few more posts, then it turns into half the morning posting. We all need to participate in the big picture, that's my little contribution.

Anyway, Buddy has been doing well, he's as affectionate as ever and is definitely a mamma's boy! Although, When daddy came home last night and finally got into bed, I saw that he pulled Buddy close to him and I think that is the way they both fell asleep. Don't tell him I told you that, he is a softy when it comes to our babies!

Buddy went to the vet on Saturday to have his sterile urinalysis and culture done but we have not been notified of the results yet. Although, I saw him struggle to pee towards the end of the antibiotic cycle, I am hoping that with those two meds, he is all cleared up! Realistically though, there are still signs of a trace amount of the strivite crystals in his pads. I took more photos to document for our surgeon. I know that they will always exist but they are supposed to be at a dissolved state where they are not visible to the naked eye. Well, unless I am superwoman, I can still see them and so can the camera so, I guess they are still there. I hope that our surgeon allows us to proceed with his surgery in less than a month! Buddy is a strong, feisty little man so, hopefully all will go as it is meant to with a lot of praying of course.

The raw meat diet has gone over very well with my boys, not so much for Rusty though. She refuses to eat anything but that now...she is so spoiled and so smart. Who would want to go back to kibbles after real meat? We decided to do the real raw diet for 2 days and then back to the kibbles/dehydrated raw for the weekdays because it is just so much trouble to prepare every morning and night and until I can learn the proper balances of nutrition for each dog, I don't want to take the chance of screwing something up. They now get 50% red meat, 20% brown rice, 20% veggies, 5% fruit and 5% plain yogurt with added fresh garlic & fish oils, amounts differ per dog. This is what I researched and it seems pretty spot on but until I can verify through other sources, I think it's going to be just for two days of meals. I still need to work on adding in organ and muscle meat which I was discussing with the butcher last weekend who would have to prepare it for me each week. Spoiled pups! I just hope that they grow up nice and strong.

Buddy got new Tinkle Belts last week from our friend Janie in an XL size. Per Janie's FB page which by the way has Buddy as the cover model, said that they will have to make a 2XL soon if he keeps growing, I hope he does. He weighed in at 62 lbs at the vet on Saturday. Boy is it going to be a surprise when the people at the shelter sees how big he has gotten since he left them back in June.

Buddy is doing very well at training, Cooper on the other hand, not so well. Cooper has a tendency to ignore me when he doesn't want to do anything . He is really good at "drop it" though, it's a start.

Nothing about Buddy seems little! 62 pounds! Wow! :) Cooper will get the training. He just hasn't had is lightbulb moment yet. That's when they "get" training. You'll see it soon! I love the FB postings. You are helping so many and you know it starts with one voice and carries on...
