Arrival Story:
Lost my dearest friend, a Golden 10 years ago - we wanted a dog and I set my daughter the task of finding us something as lovable and loving, but smaller. She found the breed, tracked down a breeder here in Australia (no mean task!)and we were incredibly lucky with timing - Glenda of Glenmaeve Kennels is choosy about who gets her pups, matches people and dogs. Well. she made magic because we came home with an irrepressible, energetic, reddy-gold bundle of fun. I just think its no coincidence that Jazz was born the day before my favourite jazzman Dave Brubeck left this world.

One of many Jazzy's many remarkable traits is her amazingly intent gaze when we talk to her or when she is focused on something. It's like she has a little computer in there that's assessing, calculating, measuring, etc. And like she is desperate to understand every nuance of an interaction. Surely enough, liked blues or jazz from her puppy days, especially when first home and missing her biological family.
