Favorite Food: Anything remotely considered edible.
Favorite Walk: Anywhere
Best Tricks: About the best he does is to give paw on command.
Arrival Story: Polliver was found running free once too often and was taken by Animal Control. He was taken by a couple with another dog to see if they could adopt him, but he didn't get along with the other dog. They arranged to have him transferred to their local shelter, where his food guarding problem kept him from being put up for adoption to the general public. But he is otherwise so charming and friendly that they were desperate not to put him down. They looked for a rescue to take him and work with him and the couple that had tried to adopt him contacted Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue. We took him and have been working with the guarding problem. He is improving, but needs someone who will continue to work with him and give him the firm and loving discipline that he needs, as well as keep him from running free ever again.
Bio: Polliver has been adopted!!! He found a family that wants a calmer older dog and will spoil him at least as much as he's been spoiled here. Good luck, my boy. We'll miss you and you'll always be in our hearts, but we're happy you've found a good home.
29 June 2014: Godspeed, Polliwog. I just learned from your Steve-buddy that you earned your Silver Harness this spring. You were a great and beautiful husky and you didn't have long enough with Steve. Our hearts wish you peace and happy roaming North of the Rainbow Bridge until you and Steve cross the Rainbow Bridge together.
