Arrival Story:
I was born in Peru and came to Wisconsin with my 1st family. They brought me to the US for a relative who thought they really wanted a dog like me. Things didn't work out well for me because I am very much an alpha dog and I didn't fit in with their lifestyle and didn't like their other dog (Husky). My new mom found out about me and came to meet me. I didn't like her but she liked me enough to take me home in spite of my sassy attitude. She was not afraid of me even though I tried to act mean. She put me in the car although I fought with her and was afraid. When I got to my new home I didn't know how to behave and was not even housebroken. I would not leave my new mom's side cuz she was the only person I trusted. She let me sleep with her cuz I was insecure. I was used to sleeping in a basement. I didn't like my new dad for at least 2 weeks and the 3 adult children either. Now I am so happy and love my new family. I am housebroken and my family knows that I am super smart-I just needed a chance to prove it. I have my own special bed but still like to sleep with mom if she lets me. I have a new cat friend and we play alot plus many toys. I get baths often which are my favorite thing and I am top dog around here. I am so happy and loved and my family feels lucky to have me. I still have a few issues to work out because my breed can be a bit quirky but that is why my family loves me so. I know I have a forever home and will never be left in a cold dreary basement alone anymore.
