My new friend, Nahla "Bee"

I have a new friend and her name is Nahla but her nickname is Bee. Bee is a five-year old female Boxer that was rescued. She had a mommy for about six months before her mommy passed away unexpectedly. Her mommy wasn't discovered in the home for several days but Bee stayed right by her side until then.

Bee was held at the pound for a couple of weeks but her rescuer convinced them to release her back to her foster home. After the required time passed, she found her new mommy, my Auntie Liz, who works with my Mom. Auntie Liz also knew Bee's former mommy.

Auntie Liz's two previous dogs went to heaven recently, just several months apart, so the timing was right. They've only been together for about three weeks but they've already bonded!

This morning, we arranged for an early morning playdate at the dog park. Since it was all new for Bee, she spent some time walking outside the park while I anxiously waited for her to come inside.

We hit it off great, though she got a little excited when I would run around. I think she was trying to tell me to slow down! But after awhile we both calmed down and were fine. Then a few other dogs came that I've met before and their owners were really caring and supportive helping Bee with her socialization skills.

We were there for over an hour and Bee was worn out but we all had a good time. She is cute and looked so pretty with her lime-green accessories!

I'm working on getting her to join Dogster, along with my pal Rogan!

I need a nap and then I'm going out to the pet wash!

So sorry about your Aunt Liz losing her 2 beloved dogs so close to each other, that had to be so hard. Bless her for adopting Bee & giving her a loving home. You are both going to have a lot of fun together!
