Tonight I smelled my first deer scent! We have a conservation behind our backyard and there's a lot of trees. There were 3 baby deers last year who are now grown up! They still visit our culdascac!

I was outside, minding my own business when I smelled them... OH MY!! I then barked and they ran behind my fence! I followed them and mom was laughing 'cause I was prancing, almost floating, while running behind our fence. Naturally the deer ran faster but I HAD SO MUCH FUN!!

Now my not so fun 1st was mom cutting my nails last night. She went to cut my black nails, aka no visible quick and she nicked me :( I made a tiny yeowww and she felt bad. Then I felt bad that SHE felt bad, and I kept kissing her. Awwww poor mom! I love her to bits :)

I too have black nails and have experienced the same problem. Momma now refuses to cut my nails and instead sends me to the groomers to let them do the trimming.
