Well Gma, Foxie and I are sure surprised at how
Precious has settled right into family. Despite her
hair you chase everywhere. We've been watching over
you and your projects.Foxie says," how come you
didn't have a vegetable garden when we were with
you?I wasn't much on veggies but Foxtail loved them!

We were impressed with Precious and her report of May.
So we are sharing it here with ALL our pupster pals...
Thanks Precious for helping these 2 busy Angels Out!

HUGS AND KISSES, ANGEL BABY
****************************************************
PRECIOUS PRATTLES
Where did the month of May go????????Zooming here and there,
blinked a couple times AND May 2012 has Disappeared!

My lap time has been skimpy! As my people drag themselves
to the house at the end of the day. Since I'm into napping
on Grandpa's lap.....I'm most upset with the growing season
and their schedules. They come in at night eat, cleanup and
shortly they are off to bed......
I am NOT IMPRESSED with where they have spent their time.

Grandpa has been busy with spring calving...We now have
3 bottle calves. The neighbor didn't want to feed his 2
anymore. So he called Grandpa and ask him to take them.

Grandpa has been fencing, fencing and more fencing repair
and replacement. He rebuilt a small section of the cattle
corral.
There is alot more to do there. An old cow tore out the
cattle chute. He had to build a new one.

Gpa and Gma have been busy with this vegetable garden project.
Gpa had to prep the soil...work it all up for Gma. This took
a whole day...He still has some work to do in 1 area before
the assorted squashes, cucumbers and sweet peppers can be planted.

Gpa helped Gma mark off the garden, label the rows and helped
plant the potatoes. Here is what they put in their garden:
potatoes,2 types of sweet corn, 4 kinds of tomatoes, orange
and purple carrots, yellow onions, green and yellow beans, red cabbage, broccoli,
cauliflower,swiss chard,parnips,red and white radishes, red romaine,and
2 types of mixed lettuces.

We still have cucumbers,cantaloupe,assorted sweet
colored bell peppers and more tomatoes to plant.
It was so dry when they planted
a couple days ago...Gma had to water
everything really good.

The 1st. night the temps. dropped into a touchy zone.....Never
froze at 35 but close. The next night when the weather was very
iffy: Gma covered all the started planted with buckets and flower
pots to protect them.

Yesterday she left the covers on because it was so cool.
The plants had a portable greenhouse around them. Last night it stormed....
We had wind,thunder,lightening,hard rain,hail...
it was a very noisy night! This morning we have
big water holes all over. Even with the wind,
our gauge caught a good 1". So now Gma doesn't
have to water
for awhile.

We also supervised her weeding in flowers, watering apple trees
and planting some annuals in pots. Moss roses, red geraniums,
asparagus ferns. She has a double red begonia and
a mixed planter the grand
kids gave her for Mother's Day.
She planted daisy,black eyed susans
and cone flowers from seeds. She had to haul
all her pots into the
cattle room when the weather took a nose dive...

We also had the car to cleanup,a gas grill, patio
furniture, steps and patio....Of course, there are
always dirty clothes and house to take care of....
Some baking on a rainy day. A couple supply runs
thrown in there.Yesterday the house was toasty as
Gma baked beer bread and a pound cake.

Despite the heavy outside schedule, Gma cooks
every night for us.
She has made Mazy and I salmon, chicken
breast and venison...So we've been having
a smorgie around our kibbles.

By our house, we had a roll over accident...
Gma stayed with the woman until ambulance and
medical help arrived.
The pickup rolled 3 times and was destroyed.
The lady had guardian angels watching over her.
She was banged up pretty bad but will heal.

I've been taking as many naps as I can on the
master's bed or the loveseat in the sunroom.
Gma and Gpa have been making me go out for fresh
air.......Phooey! I'm an old CAT now and not into
hunting anymore! I didn't like supervising yard,
garden and ranch projects...

The herd of barn kitties have been making Gma mad!
They dig in her flowers and in the yard....Leaving
little holes and pressies all over! Gma says,"
is that anyway to behave???" When they feed them
SO well and they have acres and acres for litter
boxes....

So you see, here on the prairie our days just Blur
one into another!
Then we start all over again......
Pals,We hope things are going well at your houses????????
Have a safe Memorial Day.
Remember that Freedom Isn't Free...
Take a moment to silently thank
those who gave for us all.

Your prattling kitty pal,Precious

We sent the Monarch butterflies your way.
Feeding on the little buttons of sunshine lace.
A gentle breeze touching your face.
The bright sun to make your day.
Lavender blossoms on lilac bushes were placed,
While pink honeysuckles did pop, a part of May.
Encouraging you to sit and stay,
Basking in the beauty of the day.
Sweetness lingered on the air today,
All for YOU on Mother's Day!

We Love You,Momma and watch over you everyday...
Your Angels Baby and Foxie

A YEAR OF FIRSTS....

Momma,It's been a year of Firsts for you...All the holidays came and went without me by your side. You took time to stop and think about all the wonderful years, I had with you and the family.....
How much Joy, I brought to our home.

Springtime brought alot of Emotional days very close together.....
Mother's Day followed by, My 1st. anniversary Bridge Day on June 3rd...then my Gotacha and Birthday on June 10th. Still followed by
June 14th., the 5th. anniversary of Angel Foxie's Bridge Day....

YOU did GREAT! I know being very busy with the Outside ...mowing
house-yard and ranch-yard. Tending flowerbeds and planters,picking
sticks and weeding have made things easier. Your new big vegetable garden Looks great! You're spending alot of time out there...
Vegetables take alot of time and care.......I think, this year
you will have a nice healthy glow to your skin.....
You never had a vegetable garden, while Foxie and I were with you.

We are so Happy that you can now have one and physically keep up
with its care. We watch you from the bridge with all the planting, weeding, watering and protecting your little plants.
You've sure had to fight alot of different weather elements.
Cold and near frosty nights, harsh windy days, pounding rains,
light drizzling showers,a week without any sun, followed by
scorching temperatures of almost 90. Time will tell...but you
should have oodles of veggies to harvest.

We see little half pint, Mazy isn't as excited about the garden as she was the 1st. week. Foxie and I laughed and laughed, when you tried to show her the 1st. potato plant...telling her, LOOK a potatoe...Little imp started digging by the plant looking for a HOT Baked Potato...She just didn't think the green leaves had anything
to do with a potato...She's so FUNNY!

We had games and tons of food here at the bridge for all those
with a special day in June. Of course, I had some Steak and some
ice cream....
Thank you pals for remembering me on my birthday. The p-mails
and pressies made these days in June easier for Mom. It's so
very pawsome that I've left but I am not forgotten.....

Foxie and I are trying to keep an eye on Mazy..So, she doesn't
stumble upon the skunk or the raccoon at the place. We see
that there are several humans taking rabies shots in the county
this year. 3 teenage girls from their horse and another
family from treating a calf.

I hear Foxie and our pals callin'...I better run! We'll talk to you real soon. We're so happy you had a nice birthday this past week.
We were so happy to watch you and Dad fishing on Sunday afternoon. Nice the rain came,so you couldn't start the mowing. Some mighty fine northern pike filet you put in the freezer. We hope you and Dad sneak off and go fishing.....whenever you can. Enjoy that fresh fish tonight....Yummy!

All My Love, Angel Baby

OUR Canadian Pal,Miss Abby posted this...We are trying to Help her pass the word along! I'm sure Star just wants to go Home!

Have you seen Star?
February 26th 2012 11:05 am

Pals, a friend of mommy's sister drives an 18-wheeler. His constant companion is his Sheltie, named Star. Star got spooked at a truck stop in Wisconsin on February 22 and ran away. She has been seen in the area around the truck stop, but is very scared and skittish. Star and her owner are from Canada so they are not familiar with the area. The owner's wife drove from Canada yesterday and has reported that Star has been seen in the area.

Please pass this along to anyone you know who might be familar with that area in Wisconsin.

Thanks.
Angel Foxie and Angel Baby,
May God guide and protect Star
until she is home safe with her
family.

Hey,MOMMA! BBBBBuuuurrrrrrrr It's Cold Down There

January 18th 2012 3:20 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 2 people already have ]

I'm watching over you, the family and the prairie everyday. I'm so happy for you, that so far...you've had a very open winter. Only light skiffs of snow. A couple cold snaps but nothing real serious. A brown Christmas of 49 degrees was truly rare.

The cold front on top of you now is Super Cold! Going to last for a few days. I'm sure glad, I'm not there to fight that cold. The last few years, the cold was so tough on me....The weather at the bridge is always Perfect....You'd love it,since you have always hated cold weather. You like it HOT... YOU like a climate that allows shorts and tank tops all year long......

It's only 5 p.m. and -12 raw temperature. It's -40 with the windchill... I know,No one is used to it,since you've been having an easy winter. The people needed a break after 3 very harsh and cold winters.....Compounded by record breaking snow falls for those winters. Spring brought so much flooding and horrible damage. The state will be recovering from that for a long time.

Sounds like, by the weekend, the weather will be back to about 30. 30 above zero in January is fabulous! I see, your going to make the yearly sausage on Saturday. One of the things, Foxie and I miss down there are the wonderful smells that come from your kitchen.

We had so much FUN last week at the party for the January birthdays of the week at the Bridge. Foxie won the apple bobbing contest! I was her cheering squad! I still don't like to stick my head under water. I played hide-n-seek,tag,ball and went on a scavenger hunt. The vanilla birthday cake was pawsome! I ate steak, hot dogs and hamburgers.... You know, I don't like fruits and vegetables, like Foxie does. So I didn't eat any...I love being strong, healthy and filled with energy, once again.

I hear Foxie calling.... she wants to go down to the Bridge. Greet new pups and purrs that are arriving. I'll check in on you later. I see today, it has been 2 yrs. since your back surgery. I'm so happy you can do more than you could before the surgery.
Stay warm and enjoy those caramel rolls you baked. Tell little Mazy, I miss her being around to pester me! There are some other young small pups here who try to fill in for her.....

Love You,Angel Baby

Remembering You

For the pups beyond the Rainbow Bridge,
We bow our heads, we shed some tears,
We know that nothing can take the place
Of the furry pals we loved so dear.
And even as the years go by,
A remembered nudge, a lick, a sigh
An old photograph will bring them back,
And tears will fall from many an eye.

We thank the good Lord up above,
For your doggy smile and unconditional love
The way you felt within our arms,
Your bark, your whine, your many charms.
We thank Him for your listening ear
The warmth of your body when you pressed it near.
Is it so surprising really, that you are called DOG.
You're a pretty good reflection of the love of our GOD.

For the pups beyond the Rainbow Bridge,
A voice is heard at bridge's end.
"Well done, true and faithful friend."
Your job and journey is completed on earth.
Play in the flowerfields, bask in the sun...
Chase with your pals and have great fun.
But keep your ears cocked while you're chewing that bone
You'll hear familiar footsteps---your human's come home.

Hell-o from the bridge. Angel Foxie and I hope all our earthly furs had a Very Merry Christmas. Found new toys and treats at their houses. Tons of snuggles and extra lovies while families and friends gathered.

Thank you for all the pressies, Gma found on our pages after her Holiday was over. The out pouring of LOVE here at dogster and catster warms her heart. All the beautiful greetings and messages left for our furmily. They had a Pawsome Christmas...
All they needed was to have the 2 grown children,2 grandchildren and Mazy with them....Christmas was Brown with NO Snow!!!!!!
49 degrees and sunshine.....Everyone felt so Blessed!

This was the 1st. Christmas without me. While I am still greatly missed, they know, I am very happy here at the bridge. Gma and I were both surprised, when notified by Forget Me Not Group a Christmas picture of me, won an award. The award is posted on my page. We thank Little Pete for making me a Christmas picture for 2011. We thank Forget Me Not Group for the beautiful award.

We want to wish Everyone a Very Happy New Year. All the Angels up here are watching over Everyone down there....You are Never Alone.
