Likes:
Love,bullysticks, fetching balls, walks,cookies & food!

Pet-Peeves:
being blind, Tovah stealing his ball, not getting food/bullysticks, etc on time

Favorite Toy:
balls, or what ever Tovah or Ori have

Favorite Food:
his regular food, or whatever he can get --former street dogs aren't fussy

Favorite Walk:
anywhere we take him, he is always excited to go & wants to be leader of the pack!

Best Tricks:
People were always amazed that he could still fetch a ball after he was blind. The ball had to have a squeek, but now that he is going deaf, it's a lot harder. He still has fun trying.

Arrival Story:
Indy was found by a woman who was associated with a local rescue group. He was dodging traffic on a busy intersection near my house. Her children named him Indy b/c they loved the Indiana Jones movies. I was thinking about adopting a puppy, & went to a adoption event by that group. He was about 2 years old, but sooo sweet & handsome & he seemed to be begging for me to take him home...how could I resist? He has been my faithful, loving companion thru good times & bad.

Bio:
Indy was sighted when I adopted him. He developed glaucoma later in life & despite going to a doggie opthalmologist, & giving him many different kinds of eyedrops & oral meds his lenses eventually shattered from the pressure in his eyes. He was in agony & we had to make the EXTREMELY difficult decision to have him put down or have his eyes removed. The 1st few weeks were horrible, but he came thru it all like the champion he is, we all adjusted & I am SOOOOO glad he has been & will be with us for whatever time we are blessed with! I was sent birthday wishes today from Dogster for Indy. I never really knew his birthday, I simply used this date for lack of anything else. In any case, my boy is gone. He has been gone since Feb. 12, 2013. He had intestinal cancer, he was suffering, & we has to end his suffering humanely. He is buried on the hillside in the back of my yard, along with my two kitties. I miss him every day. I think about him every day. I wish with all my heart that he was still here with me, but I have to console myself by telling myself that he is not in pain now, that he has his vision again, that he is young & strong again & can run so swiftly & beautifully again as he did in his youth. We will be united again, I know this. I guess I will keep this site going for awhile.i just hate to delete his photos. But I don't want to get birthday reminders anymore.. I don't know what to do. Maybe I will know later.

My wonderful, precious, amazing boy left this earth this evening, when his vet found that he was suffering from lymphoma of the bowel. He was 17 years old, I had him since he was 2. I will always cherish his memory, but right now, my heart is breaking.
