THE REUNION HEART

Since The Bridge has become your home

And though we now are far apart

STILL HAVIN' FUN BUT...

Oh, yeah.... Sophie is here... now she's tryin' to boss me all over again. Auntie Carol came over and sort of took her aside and I guess sort of made her see that this is Heaven and in God's country we drop that earth attitudes so that we can lift our voices and tails to praise Him.... she's new here so I guess a few mistakes are OK... and she's off with her friends like Weaver and "Weej' and she's actually playing games.... HA! the queen of 'I don't 'do' games'.... learning to play.

Auntie Carol has even been getting us Cairnees together to learn to sing.... St. Francis isn't sure this is so good, but we're improving so that when our earthly moms and dads show up to collect us into Heaven we can sing too.

Well, Dumpling an' me have been havin' so much fun that I forgot that time passes down there on Earth. WE has a NEW buddy up here in the Cairn Clan and it's my little buddy, Magic Jack... or Jack as his forever loving mom called him. Gotta tell ya, Col. Potter found him just the MOST perfect mom... a vet. BUT even she didn't know that Jack had a heart problem... and Jack wound up here at the Bridge with US.... we hadn't counted on that so soon but I took Jack under my buddy system up here and we've got him playing games and OK with waiting for his mom until she crosses the Bridge too....

Thanks Col. Potter for rescuing this little guy and giving him a great home on Earth... we're takin' care of him up here..

CALLING ALL ANGELS!!!!

Well, I've got my own special boy to watch over now. (HEY! Mairi, you aren't the only one who gets to do this!!!)

He got runned over REEEEEL bad... did some inside damage too. BUT like ALL Cairns, he's a true
fighter and he got those inside stuff to runnin' better.

But they had to take off a leg. Now sum ob da hoomans are feelin' sad about that, but who better than I, Barney, Squirrel Controller Exdrodinaire to let you know dis seecret... CAIRNS CAN RUN FASSER DEN ANY DAWG WIT 3 LEGS!! Yup... isss trooo.

Auntie Noelle is sad

hur jus got nuz dat hur heart dog, Maggie, is goin' to joinin' us all at da Bridge. Maggie wuz sumpin' of a PITA wen we libed wit hur... alwayz had to have tings hur way. BUT I lub Auntie Noelle an' I NO shez gonna miss Maggie a lot so dat makes me sad.

Guess what??? While kids were gon' trick or treat, *I* gotz a TREET!!!.

My next bestest speshul fren came up the Bridge.. Her name is DIXIE!!

No! she's not a furkid. She iz a HOOOMAN angel. I lubed Dixie SOOOOO much on earth..
Jus seein' hur at canser support meetings made me want to live wen I got reel sick way bak wen..

Mom jus' said 'wanna see Dixie?" and MAN! I gotz well reel kwik... we had good slurpies and snuggles befor she collected all her kids and went on in to Heaven..

Birthdays

Dumpling and I celebrated out earth birthdays together watching the Aurora Borealis and snacking on treats provided by one of the angels who knew it was a special time. My earth birthday was May 8th and Dumplings was May 9th. We celebrated at midnight. We enjoyed the show and thought of our moms still on earth and sent them our love and gratitude for all the love they gave us. We still send our love.

Just a couple of earth days after I left one of mom's friends told her that my story (in brief) is
in the Borders produced book HOPEFUL TAILS stories about rescued animals. I'm on Page 60

We just got the word that Malcolm and Murphy's lil brother, Jesse who was supposed to help their mom not be so sad after they left will be joining us soon. He's got that big cancer thing. So Dumpling, Ozzie, Malcolm, Murphy and I are sort of confining out games to be near this end of the Bridge to wait and welcome him.

Please, God, I know this may not be the time, but please send their mom another pup to love and let this one last longer.
