To my friends and fellow soldiers, there is a predator on the premises.

While sleeping I heard the trespasser. It was saying ...whoooo , so I answer back...ruff grrrr ruff.

The trespasser responded with whooo,I answered back ruff ruff.

This went on most of last night and morning. When I got up it was Kaipo time. The trespasser said whoooo again when Dad let me out!

While listening for the sound, I seen there was a disturbance by the trees, the bare branches hitting other bare branches. But even though I keep hearing the trespasser I am yet to see it.

Whooo, there he goes again. Growls at the trespasser, I will find you.

I am signing off for the moment so I can look for the predator again.

Spa Treatment 101

Today I had a BATH and let me tell ya I could not have got better treatment at a 4 Paw Hotel.

My big brother thinks I am demented for my love of bathing, but cleanliness is a good thing. Mother knows if she don't give me regular baths I will bathe myself in the water bowls. I have done it before.

She runs a nice bath of warm water and let's me walk around the tub splashing water with my paws. She washes and conditions my hair carefully avoiding my eyes and ears. After a warm rinse she wraps me in a towel carefully drying me.

When I am almost dry she brushes my hair and examines my nails, clipping some. When she's done I groom her, checking her ears before she makes me stop. She's funner to groom when she's asleep, she is less resistant to the washing.

After the grooming is complete I curl up on her lap to sleep.

Why go to a spa when I got momma to do it for me?

Dad's heart is okay and will be coming home tonight. I am happy. Relieved. Who cares if my sister said I am sen-si-tive, my Daddy is coming home.

My dad is coming home! I will sleep tonight.

Kaipo time....this is not a drill

Yes Brudder, I will accept the mission to protect Momma. I secured all of the lower quadrants and now to make sure the parameters aren't breached.

...Also need to secure the release of my Dad.

He was here earlier but he left with Mom. He did not return. When she returned she smelled funny.
I don't recall the smell from places I been!

Reminds me of the smell of the floor after mom mops it.

Momma barely escaped herself. I can smell the odor on her hands.

*i must make sure Mom doesn't disappear*

Mom told us the entity just wants to watch Dad to make sure his hearts okay.

His heart is not broken! He's expected to be home tomorrow, I miss him but I must protect Momma from intruders.

Time to secure quadrants again.

*listens carefully* What is that I hear? Car? *listens for tires in gravel* (crunch)

(Crunch) *gets on back of sectional*. Oh its just a car turning around in my driveway. *barks at the trespasser*

Time to patrol the parameter of my domain. *Runs to the front door* I'm too short to see out the door window! * barks at mom to open door. If she would just open the door I can see out!

*runs in kitchen* I'm too short to see out the window. *sniffs bottom of door before moving on*

Yay I found a dirty sock by the bathroom door. (Makes mental note to steal it later.

*hears the neighbors dog barking, barks back... Ruff ruff* I'm done patrolling, mother has the other doors shut and of the available windows I'm almost too short to see out of. The ONLY reason I Can see out of the windows is because of furniture placement.

*ruff ruff* have a great day friends!

Our local PoPo charged a man with assault of a police officer for the stabbing of Jeck.

He was not charged with property damage. He was charged with the same thing had Officer Jeck's human partner been stabbed.

By charging the man this way, its saying Jeck is just as important as the other deputies. I agree he is.

His duties are important and he risks his life everyday for us. Just because he doesn't carry a gun doesn't lessen his duties.

I hope the charges stick. Get Well Soon Officer Jeck.

At least my Pal Patch was Honest with Me

Mom said yes and Dad is saying No (stand up to her dad)about the neutering. Mom assured me nothing would be missing after the Neutering but Patch told me the truth.

So Neutering is not a good thing. Momma assures me that some diseases can be prevented with Neutering. Plus I was told it would make me more lovable.

I am lovable! If mom does convince him, it will be done in July. I hope he continues to say no.

but ma its only Brother rivalry.

My brudder and me got into it again. Dad came home from work and we were both trying to get some lovin' from him. I missed him and Rudie was just letting dad scratch him behind the ears way too much.

And he was hogging the belly rubs way too much. After a minute I flipped out. I tried to go behind dad's legs to let Rudie know I was mad, I bit dad by mistake, trying to get Rudie to let me get my share of loving.

I got passed Dad and kicked some tail. Now I hear some talk about a trip to the vet soon to loose my...well you know. Rudie has been snickering about it.

I beg you Mom let me keep my dignity. Please mom, it took me a long time to grow these, I like 'em. Can't we talk about this!

Mom assures me I will be okay, that when I do go it will be for something called neutering. I am kind of relieved but I don't know what that means either.

Can anyone tell me what that means?

Smarter than my Pawrents

I am one smart Dog, smarter than my siblings and smarter than my mom. Don't feel sorry for her, she was born blond after all. Think my grandfather was blond also but at 71 he's got all his marbles still.

In reality Rudie is blond. I'm not sure if he's "slow" or just LAZY. Cocoa is a few fries short of a Happy Meal, but she's a lovable nut. For instance if the water dish is empty they will lay down beside it, I look for water.

If they want something they will stare down momma, I look for ways to steal it myself. Heck with Momma.

Dad on the other hand figures me out quicker, he has darker hair. Well its just a thought.
