My boss-boy is home! Fur I don't know how long...he said until he finds a permanent pawlace to park his junk...BOL! And soon even a car which he is hunting fur right now, even as I paw this entry.

I had a great time and even didn't come outside when growlmy got home from her work last night...but when she came in, I did give her a kissie...

We have some more storms but no bad ones. Maybe we will have more tonight. Sheesh, the weather is horrible and scary these days, in some parts of this land we live in.
I pawray that evfurryone will stay safe.

Well, growlmy is about to leave fur work again...I'll woof some more some other time...

Leashed Up & Going Nowhere

At about 1145pm, growlmy put my leash on me. Hey I didn't want to go fur any stroll now, Its dark and rainy and thundering to boot.

There was both TV's on here, loud mind you, one had been turned to the baseball game, the other to some news channel. Suddenly after a bunch of beeps, that's when I got leashed. Now sometimes that means I am going to get hauled off for well, a bath or some other torture to my fursonage, but I just got to wander around a bit.
Funny thing was, that I saw her stuff the kitties into their carriers, too. How odd, no suitcases or packing had been done, and none of us evfur go to the vet at night.
Well, boom! And boomedy-boom..and then...
Aroooooooo-weeee-ooooooo...Sirens? I have to go and howl, but growlmy would not let me go outside to sing along...
Growlmy said we were under a tornado warning. What the Dog??? She was getting us ready to go into the cellar if need be. Thankfully, other than huge boomers and loads of lightening and Niagara Falls on our roof, we are OK.
Thank you God fur keeping us safe. We hope evfurryone else around our area is too.

Furs and furends, if you have been keeping up with my woofs here, you will know that Boss-boy has become an offurcial Bachelor. In the science of geeky Engineering, BOL!
He has a degree and even a job in doing the things he loves best...and that's the way it should be!
He was in a huge crowd at the U of M...
Boss-Boy is in the middle of that darker crowd...somehwere...

How much attention wouldn't I have gotten if they had let me come along, but fur some reason only service pups are allowed in there...hey, I am a service pup...I woof the strangers away!

Anyways, later the pawrents made a hasty not too pawlanned pic of him in his cap and gown...
Boss-Boy ~ My furry own Bachelor!
He was getting warm so his gown was open...and we also found a photobomber, BOL!
Then someone made a pic of my Boss-boy with Pawppy & Growlmy...not the best, but the pride does show through!!
Boss-Boy ~ With Pawppy & Growlmy
S now not only did you all enjoy the fun of a Go Blue graduation, you have met most of my furmily!
(Unfurbro did not wish to show up here, though he was there and next year it will be his turn to sit in that big crowd...)

And I wish evfurryone a furry Happy Mother's Day!
Well all those here that are moms of course, BOL!

All Alone

Folks and furs, I am going to complain of abandonment...
I had the longest guard duty evfur...18 hours, Sheesh:(

Growlmy & Pawppy had been gone from my den since 6 am...and just got back...sorry if I missed any of your fun here in dogsterland...sigh...They was at boss-boy's graduation from other activities...there were 500 miles on the car after they got home...and college is only 90 miles from here...what the woof??

They took him and unfurbro to a conference after the ceremony and having a spawsial meal..somehow no furs are allowed at The Big House where this all took place...
But...the weather was lovely, not hot, not wet and there was a breeze...perfect!

Go Blue!

I got to howl my head least I am not woofing about it, but with the news that growlmy heard about, I likely did.
Just after they left, there was a very bad and fatal accident on the back roads a couple of miles from here...and since we live in a rural setting, anytime 911 gets a call, all the volunteers respond...lots of sirens...equals...tons of howling. There were young adults in the car, it hit a tree, going too fast...2 were dead at the scene, not sure at this time about the other 2. OMD:((
Pawrayers fur their furmily members. So senseless and furry sad.

Also on the furst Saturday of each month they test the emergency warning sirens...always a good reason for a loud howling accompaniment! BOL!

Growlmy needs to go and shut here eyes before getting up again at 630 am...Sunday is Church day, and I have to rest up for another guard duty, just not so long as today.

What A Day!!

Yes it was a day...even the weather was celebrating for my honor, OMD!
The weatherman dude said we might get some small showers and maybe a rumble of thunder...well, yesteday he said it was going to be sunny...what's up with that?
Well growlmy was starting some chore in the kitchen and all of a sudden there was a huge crack and the room was oh so furry bright and the noise was deafening...and the power went off...but only in one room? Huh?!
There was a storm cell right over my den and it struck, hard, scary to say the least. But when growlmy recovered her composure, she went to look at the breaker box...and yup, one was tripped from the surge of electrical forces, OMD! So after she reset it and fixed the 2 clocks, all was normal. Thankfurly our generator which is automatic was not affected.
I think I prefer quieter dogabratory doings...because I just charged outside and barked my opinions at that noisy rainy cloud...we had over 3/4 inch of rain in less than half an hour, it was that intense.

Then after my breakfast, growlmy gave me some treats and some new stuffies to start my dogbratory day off on a funner note. Yeah, I love stuffies! They need to be destuffed, BOL!

My inbox was overflowing with messages, prezzies and comments! Wow!
Growlmy was feeling overwhelmed...with all the outpouring of love and good wishes. THANKS SO FURRY MUCH!

I saw that I share my day with 1010 other pups, OMD! Growlmy was wondering how she would cope if I asked her to make them all a piccie, BOL!!

Then growlmy and I went into the yard, when the rains had stopped...and the sun came out of hiding. It became bright and warm. Hooray!
I dug in the woodsy area along side of her while she evicted yet more of our bumper crop of weeds...will they evfur stop coming up? If there was a market fur thise, we would be rich, BOL!

Then she went to the pet store...but she went solo, because truly I do not like going for car rides...go figure.
She got me some more spawsial treats and a new collar...

She gave me those treats while her and pawppy were eating supper...but I took one of them, a filled bone, and didn't know what to do with it at all, so I laid it down beside me and watched it carefully to guard it from those kitties who wanted to sniff way I growled at them...and then I picked it up and walked all around, until I took it outside...growlmy followed my trail, and saw that I was going to bury it, BOL!
So she bribed me and took it away...sigh...I think it was too big, and rather strange, because I haven't evfur had one of them befur.

Then her and pawppy sang the Birthday song to me and gave me a spawsial doggy cupcake! (That was what she got at the pet doggy cupcakes.) YUM! I sniffed all over the floor for the crumbs, couldn't risk letting a kitty have any, BOL!

Well, that is about all of how my furry spawsial day went...and now I am snoozing in my nest, after having woofed my dogtation to the dogretary!

Once again, thanks to all of you for dogabrating with me! I wuff you all so furry much! ♥

Early Barkday Fun

I was gifted with a DDP
That makes me Yippee!
And of course its fun, too!

Thanks to Dogster for this early barkday present...thanks so much to all who visited, sent prezzies, and comments and to Cooper and his furmily who sent me a couple of neato piccies!
Now I know that growlmy often spends time making giftee-pics for pups and kits, but fur me??? Nah, she says I have to pose fur real...sigh...well, at least the thought of some cake afterwards was worth it!

Growlmy says she still has to find me a present - !! - sheesh! She must belong to the last minute club I think.
Well, at least today it was wonderfur weather, and warm, too. YES! And more of the same fur the next two days...still not sure what Saturday will be like...I think I shall have a great romp in my yard. I do a thrill run each night when growlmy gets home from work...even though its dark, I shoot out of my doggy door and run like the wind to the very back, chasing some imaginary or sometimes real trespassing varmint! Growlmy says she is surprised I do not bump into things or trip over them, it is quite dark here in our semi rural area. BOL!!

Well, I need to go and visit my nest to get some beauty snoozes in, and to charge my batteries for the big day to come.

Anticipawtion; More Rain; But Dust

April 28th 2013 8:31 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 13 people already have ]

Well since I last wrote we have had a couple of nice days...and several more of RAIN...
I think peeps in these pawrts need to consider building an ark.
Even today the so called 'Sunnyday' was wet. Those big orange cats in Detroit had drizzle through most of their game too, but fur some reason they decided they liked it...and they just kept on pawlaying...they must have known what they were doing because they won...yeah!
The puddles around here are looking like ponds and the poor mallards and other waterfowl who think they need to make their nest there are going to feel bad when the sun finally dries things up...
There is rain in the long range forecast for next Saturday, Boss-boy's graduation day. Oh, dear...
Rain, rain, go away...we need you sometimes but not that day!

Growlmy took advantage of one of those sunny days...and I had to 'pose' for my 11th birthday pictures...That will be on 'Twosday' far it might be dry...then I shall be able to romp in the yard!
Growlmy hasn't even hinted at what I might be gifted hope its something yummy or way fun!

So now as I await 'My Day' are some funny things that children said...they are quite cute...I hope no peep or fur takes offense, non is intended at all...

What, you ask, is "Butt dust?" Read on and you'll discover the joy in it!
These have to be original and genuine. No adult is this creative!!

JACK (age 3) was watching his Mom breast-feeding his new baby sister. After A while he asked: "Mom why have you got two? Is one for hot and one for cold milk?"

MELANIE (age 5) asked her Granny how old she was. Granny replied she was so old she didn't remember any more. Melanie said, "If you don't remember you must look in the back of your panties. Mine say five to six."

STEVEN (age 3) hugged and kissed his Mom good night. "I love you so much that when you die I'm going to bury you outside my bedroom window."

BRITTANY (age 4) had an earache and wanted a pain killer. She tried in vain to take the lid off the bottle. Seeing her frustration, her Mom explained it was a child-proof cap and she'd have to open it for her. Eyes wide with wonder, the little girl asked: "How does it know it's me?"

SUSAN (age 4) was drinking juice when she got the hiccups. "Please don't give me this juice again," she said, "It makes my teeth cough."

DJ (age 4) stepped onto the bathroom scale and asked: "How much do I cost?"

MARC (age 4) was engrossed in a young couple that were hugging and kissing in a restaurant. Without taking his eyes off them, he asked his dad: "Why is he whispering in her mouth?"

CLINTON (age 5) was in his bedroom looking worried. When his Mom asked what was troubling him, he replied, "I don't know what'll happen with this bed when I get married. How will my wife fit in?"

JAMES (age 4) was listening to a Bible story. His dad read: "The man named Lot was warned to take his wife and flee out of the city but his wife looked back and was turned to salt." Concerned, James asked: "What happened to the flea?"

TAMMY (age 4) was with her mother when they met an elderly, rather wrinkled woman her Mom knew. Tammy looked at her for a while and then asked, "Why doesn't your skin fit your face?"

The sermon one Mom will never forget....This particular Sunday sermon..."Dear Lord," the minister began, with arms extended toward Heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. "Without you, we are but Dust..." He would have continued but at that moment her very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to her and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four year old girl voice,

"Mom, what is butt dust?"

Bunnies, Squirrel Dudes and Duck Costume Time

April 23rd 2013 7:56 pm

Growlmy is cuckoo!
She keeps bringing home critters...and I have to of course sniff them to give my appawroval.
The other day she brought home two bunnies. These guys are not scared of me at all, and do not move a hare when I get close.
Today she brought home two squirrel dudes. Sheesh, growlmy! Don't you know it is my duty to eradicate pests and varmints like these rodents?
These guys just stare at me and if they could flick their bushy tails at me...well they would!
Appawrently she is doing somethings in the yard and wanted these critters to help decorate. We already had some frogs, birds and even a kitty. OMD! My yard is being invaded!
And tonight she went out with her tools and red ducks have red boots? She was going to kick some weeds she said, but she needed these as part of her duck costume, because it started to pour. Did she go inside? Nope!
She kept on weeding and cutting branches...even though her duck costume was dripping...quack-quack!
And silly me...I who hate getting wet, just stuck with her to snoopervise the action and make sure no drowning when growlmy finally gave up and went inside, I was more wet than she was, BOL! A stinky pup she called me. I rolled and rolled, but she had to use a towel...I think a bath could not have made me wetter...OMD

At least the Tigers had more sense...they postponed their baseball game for another ducks allowed there!

Yesterday I had more fun, though...growlmy was wearing a lumberjack costume! She cut down a small tree that was more of a weed than a down it came. When the stump was being cleaned up, I helped growlmy complete the putting my seal of appawroval on it, BOL!

Well, I hope tomorrow is not such a washout! I want a real growlmy, not a ducky one...

It was such a rainy day when I got up...sigh...Growlmy is off today, but no walks fur me...too rainy she said.
It is a true day of April Showers!

So instead she and I decided to peek at the goings on in Dogster-land. Wow-wee!
I am a DDP!
That's a good way to break up the boredom of a rainy day!
Shower Power! BOL!
April showers bring forth May flowers and DDPs, BOL! Too bad that doesn't rhyme...

Thanks to all who are sending me pretty things for my page, including prezzies, Pmails and pictures.

Well, growlmy says I have to do some guard duty so she can go and get something she calls groceries in the I will bark with you all later.

Sniff...Tissue Grabbing Time...Sniff

April 3rd 2013 9:29 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 12 people already have ]

Growlmy got this touching, tissue grabbing note in her inbox, today:
Not sure of the source, though...nevfurtheless, it is well worth the read:

Here it is:

Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog's owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle.

I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer.

I told the family we couldn't do anything for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.

As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure as they felt that Shane might learn something from the experience.

The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker's family surrounded him.

Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away.

The little boy seemed to accept Belker's transition without any difficulty or confusion.

We sat together for a while after Belker's Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, "I know why."

Startled, we all turned to him.

What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I'd never heard a more comforting explanation. It has changed the way I try and live.

He said, "People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life -- like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?"

The six-year-old continued, "Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long."

Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them;

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride;

Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy;

Take naps;

Stretch before rising;

Run, romp, and play daily;

Thrive on attention and let people touch you;

Avoid biting when a simple growl will do;

On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass;

On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree;

When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body;

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk;

Be loyal;

Never pretend to be something you're not;

If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it;

When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it.

You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good, so, love the people who treat you right.

Think good thoughts for the ones who don't ~ life is too short to be anything but happy.

Falling down is part of LIFE...
Getting back up is LIVING...

One just can't read this with dry face windows...

And I am 10, just like Belker...but soon I will be 11, OMD! I AM getting old, BOL! But I still run like the wind...I just take longer naps to recharge the bstteries, BOL!
