Visiting!

I had a good weekend! I went visiting to Grammy and Pap Pap's house TWO TIMES! I got to play with Uncle Thumper, too! He's a schnauzer, just like me! He's crazy. He likes to play with balloons. Me, I don't want them. I want Grammy's lap and that's it! Although it IS funny watching Thumper run around with a balloon dangling from his mouth. He looks like he's blowing a bubble!

Momma keeps telling me I stink and that she can't wait until I get a hair cut. I like Joyce and Karen, my hair cutters, but I HATE that big blow drying machine. But Momma won't let me kiss her too much cause my beard is yucky, so I guess I can put up with it for a bit. Plus, Momma sings to me in the car. Whatever song is on the radio, she changes the words to be about me! Daddy makes fun of her when she does it, so she only does it on the way to the groomers. I wonder when I'm going...

An Ode to Bunny Pooh

Oh bunny pooh, I love you so.

You are tasty brown nuggets of yum. I don't know why I love you so, but I do. Spring is the best time for bunny pooh, of course, because it is the time of bunnies frolicking in the yard. I like to go spelunking in the front yard for the tastiness.

Momma, of course, does not understand the appeal of bunny pooh. She says it's "repulsive" and tries to stop me. She says (in mock imitation of Momma's voice) "Bunny pooh is NOT on your special diet. Bunny pooh should not be on ANY puppy's diet! It's POOH, Fizzy, POOH!!!"

I don't expect her to understand. I offered some to her once, and she ran away screaming. That's ok. There was more for me, then.

Aw man, I got in trouble again. Momma's really really sick and her head has been hurting REAL bad since Saturday. She's stayed home with me these past two days cause she says she feels so bad she just COULDN'T go teach her little humans. She says they talk too much. :)

Except I got the spring fever SO BAD. Hey! Maybe that's what's wrong with Momma! Anywho, I got the fever, so I keep barking to go out. So Momma let me out and GUESS WHAT?? There's was a SQUIRREL on our wall! The first squirrel of spring!! So of COURSE I had to alert all the neighborhood dogs! Let's see, there's Lucy 1 and Lucy 2, Sandy (she's new to the neighborhood so I had to tell her what to do when a pup sees a squirrel around here), and Pepperoni and Rigatoni (the two funniest little hot dog dogs I've ever barked at!!). Now EVERYONE is barking and Momma's giving me the stink eye cause I've been running around the house like CRAZY! ZOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

A note from Fizzy's Momma: Yes, pups, Fizzy's finally spotted the first squirrel of spring and has been running around the living room in circles ever since. It's true I have a horrific headache, and now ALL the neighborhood dogs are barking, but Fizzy did NOT get in trouble. Yes, I've given him the stink eye, but that's about all I can muster right now. And no, I don't have spring fever. I have a REAL fever. Blah.

Fizzy: WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF SQUIRREL WOOF WOOF WOOF!!!!!

All the snow has officially melted in the front yard! And it's weird, cause now the yard looks empty....

FEVER!

I GOT THE FEVER! Spring fever!!! It's warm and the snow is melting and I can smell so many smells and I can do my private business anywhere in the yard and not just in a little hole and I can run and zip and ZOOOOOOOOM!

FEVER FEVER FEVER!!

WHEW!

Momma's not mad at me no more! Last night we climbed into bed and I pinned her down and kissed her like crazy until she started laughing. She told me she still loves me and we're still best friends and I'm the light of her life.

Did you hear that, pups? I'm a light bulb! :)

Oh Boy...

Momma's really mad at me. REALLY mad at me.

See, Momma has this problem called "insomnia". She says that makes it really hard for her to sleep. Me, I don't have that problem. Neither does Daddy. We can fall asleep anywhere anytime. Not Momma. There can't be any noise or any light, and it takes her over an hour to fall asleep, even with her special magic pill she takes every night.

Anyfur, I kinda have early spring fever. Or cabin fever. Either way, I've been having the zooms a lot. Which makes me drink extra water, which Momma says is GOOD for the stones in my belly. What's NOT good is I gotta go peeps a lot more. But that's not a problem during the not sleeping times cause Momma doesn't mind letting me out every hour or so.

Except at night.

Now I can hold my peeps while Momma and Daddy are at school all day. I NEVER have accidents in the house cause I'm a BIG boy. So Momma thinks I should be able to hold my peeps throughout the night especially since she only sleeps about 6-7 hours a night and they're gone for over 8 hours at school.

But I have other ideas. Every night at 1:15 in the A.M., I start to woof at the front door. Momma knows the exact time because she looks at the clock every time. She's annoyed because she's JUST let me out at 11:15 in the P.M., so I shouldn't have to go. And oh yeah, she's JUST fallen asleep. So I bark. And bark. And bark. One night I barked until 4:20 in the A.M. She gets up at 6:25 in the A.M.

Momma USED to just get up and let me out, but one night while she was waiting for me she fell asleep on the steps for about 20 minutes while I roamed around the front yard. She says that scared her cause someone could pull up and steal me or walk into the front door, so she says she's not doing it anymore.

I was ok with that for a few weeks, but this week, for some reason, I just INSIST I have to go out! Last night Momma only got 2 hours of sleep because I barked so much. When her loud morning clock went off she leaked from her eyes. (She says Daddy is worthless with all of this because Daddy could sleep through World War III. If she tries to wake him up to let me out he just yells at me to come to bed then rolls over and he doesn't remember any of it in the morning.)

So after Momma dragged her leaky self out of bed she let me out then went into the kitchen to make her elixir of life or coffee or something. My neighbor was outside cleaning off his car so I started to scream and scream at him! Momma ran out from the kitchen and told me to be quiet and to go peeps. As soon as she walked back into the kitchen, I started screaming again. I don't remember what it was about but I was LOUD. So she ran to the front door AGAIN and yelled at me. This happened 2 more times, and boy she was leaking ALL OVER the place. I was just sayin good morning to the neighborhood...

Momma says she was so upset with me she forgot to take her sandwich maker into school and it's cooking week with her little humans and they couldn't make their cooking pizza sandwiches because she forgot the maker and she blamed ME.

Whatever. I was at home sleeping on the couch all day.

Anyhow, can someone tell me how to make Momma not mad anymore cause when she came home she kept saying how exhausted she was cause she's only slept like 10 hours in 3 days and now she has a cold which she's ALSO blaming on me cause she says she's "run down" (who ran her down??? A car??) and she's really cranky. Advice? Anypup?

*gasp*

You guys are NEVER gonna believe who I saw last night! That same beagle pup that kept interrupting my private business times a few weeks ago!!! Oh BOY was Momma MAD. It was snowing a LOT and she bundled up and tried to catch him but she couldn't move very fast in the snow and she lost him. Luckily there was so much snow there were barely any cars on the street and the ones that WERE there were moving really slow so she wasn't too worried about him getting squished like a pancake.

Anyhow, she stomped back in the house and then she heard the pup barking like crazy. She looked out the window and the neighbor guy across the street was trying to catch the pup. Momma was laughing really hard cause the pup was SO frisky and really hopping around and the guy couldn't catch him. He finally grabbed the pup and dragged him into the house with him, so Momma knows the pup will be safe. It's not the neighbor guy's pup, though. Neighbor guy has his OWN pup and he's very responsible with his pup.

Momma says she wished SHE could have caught him to see if his tags were on this time so she could find his Momma and give her a piece of her mind. That sounds kind of gross, Momma. Why would you give that lady brains? Humans...

I just hope that pup doesn't keep escaping cause someday his luck is gonna run out and then he'll be a pup pancake. That would make Momma very leaky.

Say WHAT?

I'm a Diary Pick of the Day!! PAWSOME! I was just barking at Momma that I haven't updated my diary in a WEEK and SHE said that's because there's nothing happening in my life right now cause of all the snow! Which is sorta true. But there's been so many loud noises and crashes around the neighborhood cause of all the snow and ice falling off people's houses! That's been sorta exciting! And scary! And the sun came out yesterday! I can talk about that cause THAT was super exciting! Even DADDY was happy about THAT!

But yeah...Momma's right. Not much goin on. I can't wait for spring. Or at least for the snow to melt so I can zoom around the yard again.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to my pup friends and their people! We had a very quiet day here since Momma and Daddy FINALLY got themselves dug out from all the snow. I gave Momma TONS of cuddles and kisses this morning! I got to eat my special wet food today that I only get only special occasions. I love that stuff! Then me and Momma went to a party at Schnauzer Rules! That was FUN cause they had lots of squirrels to eat. I dunno who caught all those squirrels but they sure were good!!

Momma and Daddy have to go back to work tomorrow. Boo...I'm sad. I got used to them being home...
