The birds are taunting me, pups.

We have a little family of gray doves that have a nest on our side porch. The babies have hatched already and they're starting to grow up. But they're not super good at flying just yet, so they sort of waddle around the yard.

Yesterday Momma let me outside and I ran right to the side porch. There were two of them, just sitting there, staring at me. My ferocious barks didn't even scare them away!! Momma says she thinks they know I can't reach them there. Anywho, Momma brought out some garbage and took it to the can on the side porch. They weren't even scared of her!! She sort of cooed at them and they just looked at her!

The other day Momma opened the door and one was just sitting on the sidewalk. She wouldn't let me out cause I could reach it there. But this morning, Daddy let me out. Momma says Daddy isn't as smart as her (hee!!) and didn't notice a little birdie sitting in the yard! Well *I* sure did! I ran off the porch right at that bird! Daddy said the bird gave a little "CHEEP!" and started to waddle away! I TRIED to catch it, pals, I did, but it waddled too fast out of my reach. Boo.

But, on the plus side, I got an extra day of my special wet food! Daddy, who is not as smart as Momma, forgot today is actually MONDAY, when I get my dry food, and thought it was still SUNDAY, when I get my special wet food! HEE HEE! Momma says I'm lucky Daddy is so forgetful!

Happy Memorial Day, pups! Take a few minutes to remember all those brave men and women who have died so us pups and our peeps can be free! Me and Momma are proud to be Americans!

Our outside kittys wanna knows where you lives so they's can come 'watch' the birdies! You tells that bird of peace to stop taunting or else I's come over there & get 'em!

Happy Memorial Day, Fizzy! Glad you got more special food on this special celebratory day. Whoo-hoo!! OMD you got the same problems we have, but I had one of them little birdies in my mouth when mom yelled and chased me down telling me to drop it. BOL!! Since mom is the keeper of the food I listened, but then started chasing him when he ran again. Them big birds now tease us, but they better watch out cuz I just might get one of them too and won't let go. BOL!!

Ooooooooooh Ebby, I bet your kitties would be REAL GOOD at getting them! Their nest is in easy reach if you're a climber! I just can't climb....tell your kitties that I live where the Steelers live. Just don't ask me what a Steeler is, cause I STILL don't know!

oh those birds, Mom doesn't like them in the morning cause they start singing at 4am, but next time you'll get them.

I've caught 2 so far in my short life. Mum's not too happy about that but now as soon as they see me coming they all fly off and out of my yard! Great for getting the extra day of wet food. Bet that was yummy.

I love it when the peeps are furgetful... or when they don't tell each other that I've already been fed. ;o) Glad you got an extra day of wet food! Yum!
