THIS IS FIZZY'S DIARY!!!!

Anyhow, pups, Momma's pretty irritated tonight. There's been so much confusion here, and she can't stand it! Pups we've never met are commenting on my diary, which is fine cause it's always nice to make new friends. But those pups don't realize it's MY diary and not their pal's diary! And that's not fair to anyone involved! So Momma wrote a letter. She tried to make it as polite as possible. She says you attract more flies with honey than vinegar, whatever THAT means. Anywoof, here it is:

Dear Dogster HQ,

I'm sure your inbox has been overwhelmed with negative responses to your changes to the bark board. There has been a lot of confusion and anger over this change, simply because no one has a clue as to who's diary they're commenting on.

If this change is to help promote pals becoming pals, it's unfortunately backfiring, for one very simple reason: when you click on a link through another dog's diary, you don't go to the original poster's diary, but to the dog whose comment you've clicked on. You don't even KNOW what dog is the original poster. I've had dogs commenting on my diary who I've never even heard of, and THEY think they're commenting on their pal's diary. This is simply unacceptable. The bark board is too cluttered and confusing, and at this point it's basically unusable.

I've also found, in my experience, that people simply don't like changes forced on them. That's human nature, I'm afraid. You might SERIOUSLY want to consider this new change as an option, rather than something everyone has to endure. Because as it is, I have been avoiding Dogster since this change has been implemented. I come to this site to enjoy other dog's pictures and adventures, not to become frustrated and confused as to who I'm commenting to.

Good fur you, Fizzy!
I wrote HQ an email yesterday, and posted a comment in the catster update...bottom right on the community page...same on dogster...but that was way before the huge uproar we are having now!
There is far more response to this than when the sites were 'modified' in May! Maybe they will make this an option so we all can opt out! ASAP!
Do you think they didn't ask us cause they knew what our answers would be? BOL!

That is the bestest letter to HQ! I hope they listen!!! It is real confusing. Tell your buddies that when they go on the main "Commmunity" page, and it says something like "Fizzy commented on a diary entry "It's a Dog's Life" that they should click on your name, not the title of the diary entry. Still doesn't say if you have written a diary entry or not though, so it's still not as good as before.

My mom was so confused too, but I thought it was because she is old! BOL! Well, even though she is old, it's good to know she's not losing it completely! Hope HQ will listen, and change it back to the way it was!

I'm pretty sure this is you, right Fizzy? It's furry confoosing, the way the bark board is looking right now. My guess is that it isn't working the way HQ expected, and someone is staying late trying to get it fixed. Mommy used to get upset at sudden changes, and then found out they weren't usually final. So we're just tapping our fingers and paws, waiting fur the bugs to get shooed!
