Arrival Story:
After our 12 year old golden retriever passed away from a year long battle with bone cancer a week before her 13th birthday, we decided we wanted to add another golden to the family but wanted to wait a while. A year went by and while we still had our loveable chocolate lab, who also was starting to hit his senior years, we knew the family was not complete with out a golden. Our family always has had goldens and labs so it was like only seeing half the picture. We searched reputable breeders and searched the shelters, pounds, rescues, etc. but we had found nothing. Then one day we were told about a foreclosed situaation where a family had to give away their 8 week old female. We immediately went out to look. We saw this little blonde girl come running to us and wanting to play and we knew she was the one. We took her home ready to embark on our new journey.

Bio:
Bella is partially my dog. She lives with my uncle but regardless even he says she is partially mine as I have worked really hard with her since we got her. I have been there for her first everythings. First vet visit, first time with school kids, first intro to dogs, etc. When we first introduced her to Belgian, Bella was scared to death. Poor Belgian wanted to play but there was 5 pounds of Bella and 100 pounds of Belgian. A couple weeks went by and we reintroduced them. Bella, now doubled in weight, was in love with Belgian. She tried to steal his toys. She would walk around my house following the big brown dog or vice versa. They are best friends now and I have to thank Mocha and Monte's mom for helping us by giving us ideas how to introduce them. Thank you. We can't wait to see what Bella will be like when she grows up as she already is a clever puppy.
