Empty plastic Coca-Cola bottles.
In the beautiful forest just around the corner or on one of the fields outside.
Barking when mom holds a fist to her chest.
Long story, he was born in Denmark and was given as payment for the mating to the sire's owner and then sold to a family where he lived until the spring of 2004.
A divorce and moving into separete smaller homes forced them to re-home him and a couple from Sweden who wanted to start a Boerboel kennel bought him. They changed their minds pretty soon and wanted to sell him on again after only 2,5 months.
This is where I came in to the picture. I did a little investigation and quickly and without much trouble soon found out that he wasn't even paid for in full and I managed to get in touch with his previous owner in Denmark.
Turns out these Swede's who bought him had been telling all fibs and basically nothing of what they said was true. They also wanted to sell him on for near double what they had paid for him, which wasn't even the full amount they had agreed on. Their agreement was to pay for him in 3 turns, with the first being when they collected him.
The owner in Denmark never saw any more money after that.
He came to me for a trial period (which was when I investigated his past) and he was SOOO skinny, his ribs and his vertebraes were sticking out and he was pretty much just skin and bones.
They claimed he had been poorly when they collected him in Denmark and hadn't had a chance to regain his former weight, but the manner in which he threw himself over the food bowl tells me another story...
Funny thing, after a week here, being fed properly and several times per day, he no longer wolfed his food down.
He was also full of worms, so de-worming him was one of the first things I had to do.
Anyway, I fell head over heels in love with this wonderful boy and he is the happiest, funniest ever and I've rarely seen a dog who utterly enjoys his life the way he does! If a dog could laugh, he'd be doing it all the time. :-)
He has been appraised and scored 77,7%.
His hips has been x-rayed using the PennHip method and he scored 0.57 and 0.61.
His hips has also been evaluated using the european method and they scored a C and a D with moderate DJD (Degenrative Joint Disease) on one hip. (A is the best A & B is considered to be without any form of hip dysplasia and rarely with DJD, C is considered mild HD, D moderate and E severe)
His father is Grasland GBT Rof .
His mother is Siglensâl Cochyn.
Despite his not so great hip score, he is a very lively and active dog. He absolutely LOVES life and is the happiest dog I've ever come across.
He also has an absolutely wonderful temperament and pretty much loves everyone I accept into my home, or that I greet and show no reservation towards.
He will however guard when needed.
