I's So Awesome, I's Jealous of Me-self!

This morning Mommy asked Ceel & me if we wanted to go to the park. Course we's wanna go! We starts jumping up & down with 'escitement. Mommy said in a little bit cause she had some stuffs she needed to do first. Well it took FOREVERS! By the time we left it was almos' 11 am. When we got to the park it was hot! Luckly Mommy 'membered to bring us some water so's we's could drink. We went up our hiking trail where we could go off leash. It was HOT! We stopped to drink water a couple of times. We was there 'bout an hour then came home.
Hot weather does that to us, changes our perspectives on certain things...like getting a good cooling soak! It wasn't so bad cause we's 'llowed to just soak...no stinky bubble stuff...just relax & soak. Nuthin' like a coolin' soak on a hot Texas day, is there?? Soakin ina cool tub ona hot day is not like gettin a baff. Ona hot day I loves my fwimmin pool. Is nice an cool. You can say that again Fin! After our soak, we's goes inside where it nice & cool & stretched out on our sofa beds & napped the rest of the afternoon. Wecentwy, my Momma discovered dat, when I r out on da deck fwimmin' in my way kewl pool, I eben like tu be misted wif da hose on hot days :O Whu knu'??? Yep, soaking in da water is da bestest in triple digit temps! Well I discovered today that water can be your friend when its 100 degrees. We went to the dog park and I finally got in the water and its not too bad! Glad you pups had fun! Woof Woof, Scooter I soak in the doughboy a lot here lately. Mommy said she will take me to the lake for some serious swimming later but, for now the pool works. I give Mommy and Daddy the sad eyes and they join in the pool. I play with Daddy in the pool and Mommy and I cuddle together in the pool. All the while Monty refuses to join us. He just sits in the shade and watches outside of the splash zone. Weird dog he is, it's hot get wet. Typical shar-pei, Rinky was the same way. She would go in the water but it had to be on her terms. She would in the creek by herself but hated being picked up & put in the water. That sounds like an awesome way to cool down on a very hot day. Your own special tub to Cool off in... That is Pawsome! We are having drizzles and damp,wet stuff again... Sure cuts into my outside time. I don't like that....Between rains...Gpa and I walked a prairie trail for 90 min. while Gma tried to get some of her chores done. All the fields are like a forest until Gpa can cut hay, has to stop raining 1st... Can I send you some rain? You send me some Hot weather...Hugs, mazy The heat is hard! We do our best but sometimes we get to our walking places a little later than we want and have to keep it a short walk. OH well, days are getting shorter now anyway---believe it or not, summer will start its wind-down sooner than we can say "I'm thirsty!" |
