Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Birthday: May 16th 2000
Likes: Big, tall guys who act silly with her: her true love!

Pet-Peeves: Being ignored; loud voices; strange dogs; my various critters

Favorite Toy: Recycleables are literally the only thing she will play with.

Favorite Food: Carrot sticks and bananas, please.

Favorite Walk: Down by the creek at the bridge.

Best Tricks: The classic "flip the treat" trick - B isn't too athletic.

Arrival Story: We finally went to get our new Labrador pup. Presented with a boxful of beautiful yellow pups... well, it wasn't an easy decision, but it turns out that someone else had an opinion.
A certain feisty black puppy jumped on my shoulder and ran off into the driveway, begging to play a chase game. Love at first sight!
She's turned out to be the most trainable, sweet tempered dog I've had - but who says easy is fun? ;)
B's not exactly pretty by Lab standards. Upon later examination I understand I bought her from nothing less than a huge BYB who was only a barn of clean kennels away from complete puppy mill.
7/18/11 - I returned from a month away to find B in a bad state - skinny, barely eating, incontinent, nearly unable to walk, obviously in pain. Monday I took her to vet, and there and then it was decided to let her go. As the needle slipped out of her leg, she let out a deep, contented sigh and sunk to the metal table. The vet pressed a stethoscope to her chest, nodded, and left me with her to grieve.
She spent 11 years by my side, and 14 days in suffering. I am privileged to have known her and glad to have been given the strength to release her at the end.

Bio: We got her "cheap" for 200 dollars - in exchange for one litter of puppies. This lady would sink as low as breeding an poorly built bitch who'd never even SEEN a dead duck.
I'm guilty to putting 10 more poor-quality Labradors out there, but I hope to fix the ignorant mistakes of the past by being an advocate for shelter dogs in the present. Don't breed your Lab, folks. Just being a sweet dog means nothing if she's gun shy and has bad hips.
