Does anyone know if pine tar soap repels fleas/ticks?

Nope.
And dog will hate the smell, roll in something worse to get rid of it, (sigh).

Call your vet for Frontline in the morning.

i've never heard of it. and i wouldn't use it, because the smell would probably drive the dog crazy, and that stuff is very strong. go to your vet or order some stuff off line.
