jerking head
i noticed my dog kind of jerking her head forward as if to "stretch" it out to get a good swallow of something maybe stuck in her throat. she kind of coughs here and there and she did eat some grass and throw up but she is still doing the head jerking. her nose expands also when she does it. i figured if she threw up something lodged in there she'd be fine but i'm still worried. she seems unfazed by it. im probably more worried than she is. she is playing with her toys and running around right now. not a care in the world. she just started doing this. no other symptoms other than constantly licking her lips.please help!!!! is something really lodged in there???

If it doesn't go away, then I would take her to the vet. Coughing can be a sign of a serious problem. She might be stretching her head out because she feels the need to cough. Good luck with her.

I ould go to the vet..now. You may not be able to see or feel the blockage, but it does sound like she does have an obsrtuction somewhere. Excessive lip licking can be a stress symptom, & if she has a blockage it needs to be dealt with..before whatever she swallowed perforates something. Or in the case of toxin ingestion, does damage to her system.
