How long can a dog go without drinking water?

My dog seems to be on a dehydration kick. How long until I should really start to worry? 1 day, 2 days? Any ideas on how to get him to drink?

My suggestions :)
First - go see your vet!
Second - try mixing chicken broth in the water to see if he'll drink it
Third - It's important to keep his fluids up - so try mixing water into his food. You can also mix (unflavored) pedialyte in his food if you're worried he's dehydrated.

I'd say after a day of no drinking you might want to give your vet a call.

Cherokee Forever Loved Cherry

A dog should never go more than 24 hours without drinking. Got to the vet asap if it has been 24 hrs.

Some times putting an ice cube in it and the dog tries to catch it an starts drinking it.
