How do loud bangs affect hearing?
I'm gonna have to make a loud (temporarily deafening to people) bang at some random time soon. Don't worry, no one is getting hurt. Anyway, I have 3 Chihuahuas and 1 pit bull. They are always right by my side and I can't protect their ears 24/7. What will it do to their hearing? Will it have any permanent damage?

Dogs can get hearing damage the same as humans. Bear in mind that they can hear better than we can. I would remove them from the situation while what ever your doing happens. Good Luck!

It could damage their hearing just as it would a human. I would find someplace else for them to be on that day.
