Do German shepherds have back dew claws

Some lines do, some lines don't. If they are present responsible breeders remove them at birth or within a couple of days of birth, as they serve no useful purpose. Normally, if there, they are not attached by a real, boney joint so are merely snipped off when the pup is born.
However, if the pup is any older than 2 or 3 days they DO require anesthesia and usually a suture or two and need to be done by a veterinarian. A good time to remove them is when the dog is being neutered.

Not all. All dogs can have dew claws and some don't. There can't be a specific breed that doesn't get dew claws.
