Hi i hope you can help..
11 days ago our 2 year old beagle X boy got hit by a car and died, now our very playful 8month Female cocker spaniel is starting to display aggression towards other dogs, not when we are at the park but when we go to my parents house with their dog that she has known her whole life and never had a problem with, and again last night when my friends brought over their dogs for a play again she has had different dogs at our house all the time and only now this is happing. She is not desexed as we had her booked in at 6months and it came 1st so we she book in for 2 weeks. But we need help in what to do to stop this or why she is doing it? im not 100% sure how this site works so if its easier my email is tegan.clatworthy@hotmail.com i would really love your help :(

Milly. Dogster is a website community with many trainers, a few vets, vet techs, groomers, breeders, foster & rescue folk. Plus a whole ton of regular pet owners.
The forums is a fine place for discussions
Behavior & training is discussed on the main forum board. Answers is a one time deal. Someone needs a question answered & the community answers. Once.
Are you registered with APDT? What is your training style & philosophy? Who was your mentor? What schooling have you done?
Feel free to offer advice on questions you think you can help, but Dogster is not really a one-person-ask-me place.
I noticed you just joined. Have you cruised through the Forums? Hover your mouse over the Community tab, then click on Forums. Scroll down & check out B&T. We always welcome new ideas.

Wiley is right. Most importantly, Answers is designed for a single posting only, you cannot post replies, etc...that is the purpose of the forums, not answers. Furthermore, Answers is limited to 1,000 characters, thereby limiting a thorough answer.
Dogster membership is a varied group. There are MANY professional dog people here, including trainers, and by posting in Forums the original poster will not only be able to continue to ask questions but will also have the advantage of hearing from trainers with many different training styles and can therefore pick and chose what type of training they are most comfortable with for their life style and their particular dog.
There is no right or wrong way in training, but most of us here strive to teach our dogs by rewarding desired behaviors, not punishing those behaviors we don't want to encourage.
It is not about bossing your dog, it is about having respect for them and getting respect from them in return.
