A question for Aster.

Now don't get defensive, I'm only curious. This is not one of my rantish posts.
In a past post, as I remember, you had said that once you went on the internet and found all of the sites and pages against certain ingredients in pet foods several years ago, you immediately did some reading up to see if it was true. May I inquire as to where you did your reading up at, and will you share any of those sources with us? If you cannot link to a source, please name it and give all the details you possibly can as to why you feel that ingredients don't matter.

Woodhaven labs is a great site and does not support your position on cheap dog food.

One link is a study of minks,rodents, and is not applicable to dogs

One link is a study by a dog food manufacture looking at what is the most economic additive to dog food not counting meat.

One study shows that chicken by products digest better then soy.

One is about food safety and has nothing to say about nutrition.

One talks about health problem caused by not feeding a complete and balanced diet.

Aster, either you don’t read your own links or you don’t understand what they say. Add to that your refusal to ever substantiate your sources beyond a few internet articles, arrogant assertion that you have more knowledge then most everyone, and paranoid ideas about dog food conspiracies makes me very reluctant to take you or any of your arguments seriously.

None of these studies states that dogs should be fed processed byproducts, non- edible fillers, sugar, or chemical preservatives.

Much of the reading I did was right on the sites. I also followed some of their links and did searches. Since I found very little worth while, I never kept the links to material I considered faulty.

Note, there is a big difference between not finding any proof ingredients matter and and finding proof that they don't.
