The 8 Labrador Retriever Breeders in Tennessee

1. Smoky Mtn Labradors

Untitled

  • Knoxville, TN

Smoky Mtn Labradors produces dogs from the English strain, so they are a bit different than the typical Labrador Retrievers that you’re used to. For this reason, they are also more expensive than some other breeders.

That said, each puppy comes with a hip and elbow dysplasia guarantee, AKC limited registration, and all important vaccinations. Smoky Mtn also provides a health guarantee for their puppies.

Their typical wait time is 6–8 months.

2. Rocky Flats Kennels

This kennel specializes in breeding English Standard Labrador Retrievers in yellow, black, and red. They are a show breeder, so many of their puppies have champions in their family tree.

They are a smaller kennel, producing only two to three litters a year. However, the dogs that they do produce are bred for conformation and temperament. You can contact them through their website for information on their current litter plans.

3. MTN View Kennels

MTN View Kennels produces pet-quality puppies and service dogs. They specialize in diabetes service animals, but other services are available.

All their puppies come with current vaccinations and have great temperaments (they wouldn’t get to be show dogs, otherwise). Their puppies are temperament tested before being sent to their forever homes. Their dogs are also AKC registered.

4. Trinity Labradors

Trinity Labradors produces puppies of the English type. Their dogs compete primarily in AKC conformation. However, some of their puppies have gone on to be drug-detection dogs, service animals, and hunting companions.

Their puppies are moderately priced. Trinity does all the necessary genetic and health testing before breeding.

5. C-Chase’s Labradors

C-Chase’s Labradors have been producing puppies since 1993. Their dogs have competed in dog shows, hunting trials, and obedience. They regularly produce new litters of puppies, so you typically don’t have to wait for long.

6. Loblolly Labrador Retrievers

This breeder isn’t as active as some others on this list. However, they do produce puppies every year or so. Their dogs come with a 2-year written guarantee against debilitating conditions. You can keep an eye on their website for new litter announcements.

They also do all the necessary genetic testing.

7. Johnson’s Labrador Retrievers

This breeder produces puppies regularly. They sell all their puppies with full AKC registration and written health papers. Their dogs are also affordable. Many of their dogs compete in hunting competitions, making them great hunting companions.

8. Angels On Earth Labrador Retrievers

This breeder regularly produces puppies. They also donate some of their puppies to service dog training programs that serve veterans. They don’t produce quite as many litters as some other breeders out there. However, they are still active.

Their puppies are moderately priced, and they provide an extensive number of guarantees. They also provide lifetime support for their puppies, which can potentially save you on unnecessary vet bills.

Their puppies also come with a microchip, the first set of shots, and deworming.
