“Nearly all dogs love nothing more than a dip in a stream or a splash in a big puddle, but swimming and regular exposure to water can be really beneficial to your dog. Every dog can benefit from a visit to the K-9 aquatic center. The pool is heated to provide a comfortable experience for your dog. The dogs can swim in still water or, for more exercise, can swim against a controlled water flow provided by swim jets in the larger 8' X 20' pool. Swimming is also perfect for the canine athlete who is active in performance events or to keep in peak condition. And, it's great fun. ”

Swimming for exercise.

I feel that swimming is a great form of exercise and keeps our dogs healthy. As my dogs age, keeping the heart pumping and the muscle tone becomes more important. Our cold and snowy Wisconsin winters make it hard to go outside and run around. Swimming is a great form of excersise for both people and dogs, especially with current running. Besides its soooo much fun!!! Nancy knows all her many dogs by name and treats them like her extended family. I think that Janesville is very lucky to have her as a source of therapy for dogs who have had surgery etc., but also as an alternate source of exercise.
