“Mariner's Museum Mariner's Museum 100 Museum Drive Newport News, Virginia 23606 757-596-2222 Map One of the world's largest international maritime history museums, it is located on 550 wooded acres on the shores of Lake Maury where visitors can also see a full-scale replica of the Civil War ironclad USS Monitor, and in addition to the many ongoing and changing exhibits, they have an annual 5-week concert series each summer. Dogs are allowed throughout the park and on the trails; they are not allowed in buildings. Dogs must be under owner's control, leashed, and cleaned up after at all times. ”
