Veterinarians & Specialists
Great VetFirst of all, Dogster, if you're reading this, it's Goforth with only one "f." When you walk into Dr. Goforth's office in Germantown (Poplar and Exeter, the shopping center that includes Hallmark, Village Toymaker, Blockbuster, etc) you're usually greeted by the office's own ragtag gang of dogs and you know you're in a place that really cares about animals. If your pet isn't cool with having the office dogs around, I'm sure the staff would be accommodating, they're very nice! Personally, Katy-did seems a bit more relaxed with some other canines around. Dr. Goforth is very friendly, professional, and has a way with dogs. Some vets out there have a way of being condescending, but I've never gotten that vibe from Dr. Goforth. Katy hasn't had anything seriously wrong since I've gotten her (knock on wood!), but Dr. Goforth has seemed very competent handling smaller problems and checkups, so I'm confident that she will also be able to take care of any larger problems that come up. The hours are pretty reasonable for a small private practice -- last appointment at 5:30, and a few hours Saturday morning. There's often a short wait, ~10 minutes, but I have waited much longer on one occasion. The good news is that they're always able to put you in an exam room right away, so at least your dog isn't dragging you all over the lobby. posted: August 8th, 2007 |
