Such nice, understanding humans!
I get very scared around strange humans and I also bark and lunge at strange dogs (we're working on that!). The humans at North Portland let me wait in the car until it's my turn, come in the back way if there are a lot of dogs in the lobby and are very patient and kind to me during my exams. They give me lots of treats but understand that I am too scared to make friends. They are very careful to make my visits as positive as they possibly can.
Skilled and caring people go the extra mile at this top notch facility.
Ben and his feline sister started visiting North Portland because of its excellent word-of-mouth reputation and have not been disappointed. We have had nothing but great experiences with every vet we've seen here. I came home from work one day to find Ben limping with a wound under his leg after a walk with a housemate. I called and they kindly agreed to see him though it was 10 minutes before closing time. It turned out that he had a five inch deep wound and the hospital owner stayed late to perform the surgery himself. The surgery was successful and the staff was caring and conscientious with follow-up calls. The hospital also has a very current vaccination policy and the techs are able to wrangle my ferocious cat with patience and kindness. I will continue as a client wherever I live in the PDX area.posted: October 20th, 2007
These people really care.
North Portland Veterinary Hospital has the top of the line equipment located in a clean and open facility. With slightly seperate waiting areas if some of the patients need their privacy. The Doctors and staff are professional yet very friendly. Do to varius illnesses of my own and my feline sisters, we are frequent visitors to the clinic and we are treated well and quickly. My thanks and many kisses to all there. Shelby
