“Coindre Hall is an upscale catering hall in Suffolk County, Long Island. Behind the mansion is a large field overlooking the bay. The town and facility is gracious enough to open up this area as a to us as a dog park.”
A Beagle's Dream
Our whole family enjoys Coindre HAll we go there often. It is the "backyard" of one of the largest of the Gold-Coast mansions on LI. There is a lovely trail to hike in a wooded area with lots of smells to sniff in every season... there is also a walk by the water (LI Sound) to look at the swans, fish and fisherman.... not to mention the crew teams practicing. There are lots of doggies of all sizes to play with at all times of the year and all times of the day. The leash-only policy is being worked on, LIDog.org is doing a phenomenal job lobbying to get more leash-free areas for us and our beloved dogs! This park is open year-round and really meets the exersize needs of my beagle and my husband and I. It is a good hilly hike! Not to mention how beautiful it is!

I used to go there and it was great, but now I heard the dogs have to be on-leash or the owners get fined. Doesn't sound like too much fun anymore!
