“The Franklin Township Animal Shelter was established more than 30 years ago to handle the animal control and sheltering needs of the municipality. In 1998, Second Chance For Animals, a volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of the animals in shelters, began working with the Franklin Township Animal Shelter and now provides volunteers and support to the shelter. This partnership has resulted in improved experiences for the animals housed at the shelter and increased adoptions.”
