“The County of Pitt took over operations of the Animal Shelter July 1st, 2002. We have made many improvements! At the end of 2005 we opened an addition which gives us 31 more indoor/outdoor dog runs, a new puppy room, and a new cat room. We have many more animals than what is on our Pet list so please come visit or call us today! Space is very limited here at the shelter. We are a high volume kill shelter! We strive to place as many animals as we can in loving forever homes, however, due to high volume, there are way too many that never get that second chance!”
