“The dog park is a 2.7 acre fenced off-leash area with two double-gated entries for safety. It offers water fountains for people and dogs, as well as a spigot for filling water bottles. The Penn Valley Off-Leash Dog Park is open seven days a week from dawn until one hour after dusk”
Just big enough
This is a great park to visit if you're not sure how your dog will behave off leash. It's not so large that you might lose your dog but it's big enough that they can still run around and exercise. The one time we went, it wasn't very crowded so I'm sure there are days when it is pretty full of dogs. Be prepared to pick up your own poo. Bags are provided. Also there is no water fountain but the day we were there, there were a few milk jugs with water in them and a couple of large bowls to drink from.posted: April 12th, 2009
Great place for me
I love this small dog park! My mom can keep an eye on me at all times and I still get enough room to run and play with my friends!
My favorite place to run!
I love it when my master takes me to Penn Valley. With nearly three acres, I can really take off, which is really nice for a city dog that ordinarily is limited to running free in a small back yard. It's fun to see other Kansas City dog buddies here, too. It's a bit muddy, but we hear that expansion is in the works, which will allow grass to return to the worn areas.
