Veterinary Care

Dr. French and his staff have been caring for our fur-children ever since he left Angell Memorial hospital to form his own practice in Rockport in the late 70's - 1978, I think. Anyway, we entrust our beloved animals (five cats and five dogs) to the wonderful, caring staff at this practice over any we have encountered on the North Shore. They really took extremely good care of Angel Tub, who had a brain tumor and went on to live for another 10 years - he passed on at age 18. Angel Tank, who had severe feline HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy), and was not expected to live long past the 24 hours Dr. Powell gave his opinion. Well Tank, ended up living 19 months longer after that initial 24 hour vigil assisted by Dr. Powell and our round the clock nursing care. They excel at the "small" things too, like whenever we have questions about one's care, they were right there to provide an answer, a shoulder to bolster our strength, a tear. My DH Ralph had to put down most of his cats and dogs when it became time for them to go. They tend to be of advanced age, the dogs lived over 12 years, the cats 16-18. Dr. French is profoundly moved whenever this service is required, tears shared between my husband and the good Dr. The office staff are nice and courteous, the Vet Techs are super when they attend to our beloved furry children, the Dr.'s French, Bradley, and Powell are friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and kind. If there was a "10" rating, we'd give them an "11", so "5" paws ain't enough! Ralph & Isadora, Tank the Cat's parents
