Drs. Berchtold and HartI have known both these doctors for over 10 years. They used to work at the Animal Hospital of Nashua. Dr. Berchtold also worked at their other location on Ferry road in Nashua, next to the Humane Society. When in Nashua, Dr. Berchtold took very good care of my dog Bogart for most of his 9.5 years. He had various medical conditions including numerous fatty tumors, severe dysplasia and eventually liver cancer. She performed all of his surgeries over the years. Bogart really loved her and taking him to the vet was never a problem. Dr. "Patty" would always keep me informed of how to take care of him and also things to watch out for. She would always clip his nails for me when we went and never charge. She even sent me flowers after my Bogart passed. Both Dr. Patty and Dr. Hart are extremely well educated and very compassionate vets. Although I miss the fact that they are no longer in Nashua, I applauded their decision to start their own practice in Chelmsford. I adopted another shepard from the Humane Society a little more than a year after Bogart passed. Her name was Mona and she was a senior when I got her. I only had her for 2 years as she developed a case of degenerative myopathy. Dr. Patty seemed very well versed on the condition and gave me all the information I needed to take care of Mona and make her comfortable. Unfortunately the progression was very rapid and we all knew it was her time. In a loving and caring moment Dr. Hart was there for us and my Mona. As she drifted off to sleep everyone there had tears in their eyes. They all truly cared. Both my shepards were real sweethearts. I recently adopted a puppy who is a shepard/akita mix. He can tend to be a little brat at times. I brought him to see Dr. Patty for a good once over after I got him. She knew all of his traits and knew exactly how to handle him. I love it!! I still live in Merrimack and have no qualms whatsoever of travelling those few extra miles to this office. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a truly experienced, educated, compassionate and loving vet to check out Dr. Berchtold and Dr. Hart. Feel free to email me if you would like any more feedback. Also check out the Group "Dog Park Pals" here on Dogster! - Teddy (445985) posted: February 25th, 2007 |
Chelmsford Animal HospitalWe have been patients of Drs. Berchtold and Englehardt since Cassie's passing in July. Dr. Berchtold was able to diagnose Cassie's liver failure very quickly, and help us through our difficult time. Both Dr. Berchtold and Englehardt have been fantastic with Timmy and Bailey, and the staff is very supportive, warm, friendly, and helpful. We're so glad to have found this veterinary practice! |
