Novelty is one thing ...

On the plus side, LoP does have a lot of neat dog specific things. They have excellent fashion for pups, great dog beds, and other fun pet related trinkets. On the down side, they are VERY pricey. On the even WORSE side, they sell dogs ... and not just any kind of dog - they sell "Designer Breeds" ... AKA mixed breeds/mutts/etc. Not that there is anything at all with a mixed breed - there is zero things wrong. But there is something terribly wrong when people take a Pug and a Beagle and breed them to get "Puggles" and then sell them for $500 to $800 a pop. Why can't people who are looking for "puggles" just go to the pound or a rescue and save one? And FYI to all those people looking for a "Schnoodle" or a "Cock-a-poo" or a "Labradoodle" or whatever small dog we can mix with another dog to "create" a "NEW" breed and charge astronomically high prices - save a life and go to the shelter or petfinder.com and find one that really needs a home. Not to say all puppies and dogs don't need a home - but if we continue to buy from unethical breeders (and yes, you are unethical if you breed "designer" dogs - which are not designer at all!!!) then they will continue to breed! Besides that, if you really want a pure bred and you insist on buy from a pet store (so sad!) then go somewhere else anyhow ... they charge WAY too much. If you are going to drop that kind of money on a dog as what LoP charges, you can get a pure bred dog from quality lines and from a very ethical breeder for the price they charge for a mixed breed. Go to the pound and get a mixed breed for not even a small fraction as what they charge!!!

Oh we love these stores for all our clothing and toy needs. They do carry some speciality foods for dogs and cats. A huge variety of beautiful leashes and collars. I would say it's only down fall is everything is very pricey.

Great

Great treats, and they have adorable little puppies there but why buy when you can rescue?! But great place!
