I'm glad it's here!

I really like going to the dog park so I can get lots of attention from all the humans! My brother and sister like to play with other dogs, so they like it too. The small dog area is smaller than the big dog part, but it's just as shady so it's ok. It's hard to tell when people are going to show up, so sometimes it's just us when we go, but that's ok too! There are a few owners who are weird or sort of mean, but we know who they are and we keep an eye on them!

Smyrna's first dog park

Mostly grassy, but a few sandy areas where the grass either didn't grow or was dug up on the big dog side. This used to be a ballpark, and during conversion the drainage was not upgraded, so it tends to flood after rain. I think more people with bigger dogs are going to Lake Court Park now that its open, but this park has more level open area for running, and many owners of little dogs are happier here. The owners are attentive to picking up after us, so it feels clean here, and the City does take good care of it.
