“This is a 17 acre county park open to all. There is a large soccer field at the front of the park, which precedes a small open park area that offers a playground, plenty of trees, an outdoor memorial, a landscaped garden with benches and a water spigot as well as a hanging bench swing. Right next to this area is a large fenced in area for unleashed dogs that includes two double-fenced entry points, a water spigot, some chairs and trees and garbage cans for your dog poop. Visitors are encouraged to be responsible for their pet(s), monitor them closely and pick up after them. There is another spigot on the main path from the main entrance going toward the parking lot. Lots of people and pooches hang out here.”

There is no free park around Lake City so I am going to check this out hopefully taking our hyperactive dog loves to make friends and I'm excited about this!

Best

This is the best park in Gainesville. I have one main complaint about it and that is that to many do not pick after there dog. But the other big place in town is Dogwood and that is not somewhere you want to bring your dog....

Hardly anyone picks up poop!!!

This was designed as a nice facility, but when you add to the intense heat and humidity of a long Florida summer the fact that very few users bend their butts to pick up after their mutts, you might find it as unpleasant as I do.
