“Approximately two-acre site with airlocks, a small dog area, and permanent agility equipment. Also provides a paved walking path, seating (both covered and in the open), and ample water fountains. Another website with info, rules, etc.: http://www.toppetcare.com/petutopiawelcome.html”
Checked this Park as a possible Meetup venue for the Broward Chihuahua Meetup groupMy Mom and I went to check out this Dog Park as a possible Meetup venue for the Broward County Chihuahua Meetup group. We unfortunately had a hard time finding the designated small dog area and wasnt even sure where it was. Had to call the park office and was given directions to where it is located. Went back a 2nd time and checked it out was disappointed to find that in order to access the small dog area which is on the far side of the dog park from the parking lot, you have to walk about 20 ft thru the UNLEASHED general (all size) dog area - which means small dogs are exposed to potential dangers. Also the small dog area only has a canopy and a few lawn chairs, no pavillion, no benches, and no large shady trees. We are still debating on giving this park a try and will let you know if we go and how it works out. |
Not the greatestIt's unfortunate that this park has to rely on donations apparently as it is not kept up as nicely as other dog parks. It's not horrible, but the last couple of times I was there on a busy Saturday there people and dogs there with very poor dog park manners that made it uncomfortable being there. I would prefer to go there during the week and avoid the weekends. |
Really nice dog park! |
