“Delaware Puppy Rescue", located in Hockessin, DE is a 501(c) non profit rescue organization created to educate the public on responsible pet ownership and committed to saving the lives of deathrow pets. DPR takes in expectant or new mothers and their pups to be raised in a healthy, loving family environment until they are ready for adoption. With the help of family, friends and other rescue groups we pull pregnant or new mothers and their pups from various shelters throughout the East, Mid West and South East Coasts and foster them providing complete medical care, socialization and training in a loving family environment. We then adopt out these pups and mothers to approved families at the age appropriate time. We are available to all of our adopting families 24/7 for any questions or concerns that may come up once you have taken your new family member home. All of our pets are up to date on shots and have been examined by a veterinarian. All puppies and dogs six months and older are altered prior to adoption. Puppies under six months are adopted out with a spay/neuter contract with a deposit required. We also have adult dogs and dogs rescued from Puppy Mills.
