“They have incredible services, and incredible people. Among their available services are ICU wards (with 24-hour care), oncology wards, and an entire cardiac center, just to name a few. They are also one of the few Vet Med Teaching Hospitals to study genetics.”
The Best Place EVER!I had lots of health problems: Addisons disease, heart murmur, misformed blood vessels in my eye (I was blind in one eye), hip displacia...lots of stuff. Mom took me to the UCD Vet Med Teaching Hospital. Man, they were great! I was in ICU for a weekend, and they took such good care of me! My mom got to come visit me whenever she wanted, and the veterinarians were incredible. I was in the emergency room so much, that they started just charging me for regular visits. Even though I had lots of tests done there, I LOVED going there, and thought it was a treat! That's one way my mom knew they took extra good care of me. I got to know two veterinarians really well, and they joined my mom when I finally gave in to heart failure. They were extremely supportive of her. It's also not much more expensive than a regular vet's office, and you get PRISTINE and thorough care. They are able to do tests that other veterinarians can't (I was misdiagnosed several times before coming to the vet med center). |
