My personal experience with this practice is that it's extremely uncaring and only concerned with how much money you have. The vet, after telling me he didn't know what was wrong with my pet and would have to do exploratory surgery, said that if I didn't have a credit card then I couldn't afford to have my cat and should just put him down! Obviously, he's not a cat person! I went somewhere else, my cat had his surgery and was healed, AND this vet allowed me to make payments! He is now our permanent vet!
