Smear Campaign Dog Waste Bags Turn Poop-Scooping into Political Statement
Whenever presidential election season is upon us, political animals will be political animals. That means voters on both sides of the aisle may be counted on to engage in tactics that can only be filed under S, for smear campaign.
Well, this time around, dog lovers may publicize party affiliation while picking up after their pets, thanks to a limited-edition poop-bag called -- what else? -- Smear Campaign.
Certain to be an eBay collector's item thirty years from now, Smear Campaign bags come in two styles: Blue, printed with a likeness of Barack Obama, and Red, featuring Mitt Romney. They're a collaboration between MetroPaws and Philadelphia-based graphic designer R. Scott Kmiec, who was struck by inspiration one day while out walking his beloved Boston Terrier, Dexter.
"I thought it'd be a hilarious idea to put politicians' faces on poop bags to give people the chance to rub their faces" in poop, Kmiec says.
Alas, Smear Campaign offers no option for diehard Green Party supporters, who can consider color-coding their alternative allegiance with an appropriately hued poop bag from some other manufacturer. (Check out these politically correct options.)
