I've just gotten home from an unexpected visit to the vet.
Mommy was lying in bed watching a video our friend Gwen dropped off this morning for mommy to watch, and I was lying on the bed beside mommy sleeping. I got this unexpected urge to have a pee and it was so urgent I had to squat on mommy's bedroom floor before I even got to the door. :(

I was terribly embarrassed about this, ofcourse.:( Mommy was understanding though.
However when mommy went to clean my puddle up she noticed that there was some watery pink blood on the carpet too. Mommy got a cloth and made me lie down on the bed so she could see where the blood was coming from.
It wasn't good. The blood was coming from my birth canal, so mommy called the vet immediately and took me down to the clinic.

Kirsten wasn't there, but one of my other vets Marcella saw me and confirmed what mommy thought when she examined me.
I was poked, prodded, scanned, x-rayed, and had blood taken off me. My puppies had their heart beats monitored, were checked to see if they had ample fluid around them, and were checked for any signs of stress too.
All was good, and we will get the blood test results the day after tomorrow.

In the meantime Marcella has said that I have to be kept quiet which suits me just fine. Now I'm going to have a nap on mommy's bed. :)

Thinking this happens to human Mums all the time.. and it a "just is" and not for worrying.

BUT... its best of course to get it checked out. Let us know. Might be a simple UTI... that happens in pregnancy too.
