Balloons for Samuel Jacob

Something really incredible happened to us on Saturday with complete strangers. We took some balloons to Hampton Beach to release in honor of Samuel Jacob our friend who left for the Bridge on my Birthday, 4/4. Here is the story.

Hi Samuel - You look so handsome in your new wings!

I'm hoping you received my balloons.

Mom and I took a ride to the beach last Saturday and I ran and ran and ran and sniffed and rolled and it was wonderful. We brought balloons with a note written to you and my paw prints and were just getting ready to release them over the ocean when many dog walkers stopped and asked us who they were for. We told them they were for our friend, Samuel Jacob who recently had to leave us for the Bridge and we just wanted to send him a present to let him know we were thinking of him. We told them of your life.

Well, each dog walker called another and the entire group made a circle around us. We said a little prayer and then a huge cheer and shouts of "Monkey Boy", Samuel, Warrier, etc. echoed over the water as we released our balloons into the sky. It was a joyous celebration of you!!!

We all watched until we could no longer see the balloons and slowly we all went our separate ways knowing we had done something together that was quite remarkable in honor of you.

We hope the balloons held together until they arrived at the Bridge and that you received them along with our note to you.

Your furever friend, Willie

I will never be able to tell you how much this diary entry means to me. To know a pup and his Mummy sent me love... I can't even begin to tell you and "thank you" just doesn't cover it.

But I will always love you for it. Forever.
